At first look it looks like the Nets get good real quick.
Thoughts?

Nets...
PG-Sasha V.
SG-Hamilton
SF-Anthony
PF-Humphries
C-Lopez

WAG's-Sharapova(Sasha),Lala(Melo),Kim K(Humphries), Candace Parker(Shelden Williams).

Billups agent said he is not happy about a deal and would take a buyout.

Could you imagine the teams lining up to sign Chauncey if he got the buyout. Put him on the heat and they win it.

I think it's pretty clear he just doesn't want to be in Denver anymore.

Yeah, but why sign an extension with a team worse than what you have now? IMO hes gonna get traded, refuse to sign an extension and be in NY next year

I doubt New Jersey does the deal without an extension in place.

Yeah theyd be dumb to do that, thats why the Nuggets are kinda fucked. Melo is gonna leave, and the Nuggets know that...But hes also not gonna sign an extension anywhere but NYK or maybe another surprise contender. So whats gonna happen is the Nuggets are gonna realize that theyre gonna lose him and get nothing out of it...so theyre gonna panic around trade deadline and take WAY less than what hes worth

Slot of what I'm reading from guys at si and espn's Twitter, they think a deal is really really close. And that Anthony wants to play with rip.

Carmelo just wants to be in NYC, and Jersey really isn't that far. I would be surprised if he signs the extension, but if he thinks they can put the pieces around him, maybe he does.

Saw a tweet that said the Browns have more wins since Thanksgiving than the Cavs do. Wow.

I think that Melo will end up with the Nets. I'm not sure when/how but I can see it happening.

I'm kind of surprised that Billups would want a buyout?

If that trade does go through, then Nets have some catching up to do. They currently have 10 wins

Yeah. It doesnt sound like Chauncey wants to be in NJ.

Denver wants the Nets to take on Harringtons awful contract. They might need to get a 4th team involved

Sadly, they wouldn't have that much catching up to do. 15-22 Philadelphia would be the 8 seed in the east right now.

If he wants Melo wants to play with Rip, then Den should just work out a trade with Det just for him.

But I see Den side, if Melo leaves no matter what next year try and get something for him now.

Seems like the deal might be on hold for a little bit.

Its Broussard so take it for what its worth.

Chris_Broussard‎ Deal definitely not dead, but they ain't "on the 10-yard line" anymore.
Twitter - 21 minutes ago

Chris_Broussard‎ NJ's changed parameters of deal several times but nothing to Den's liking yet. NJ leaving for 4-game road trip tomorrow & all players going

Also saw this morning that Denver isn't happy with Jersey making everything so public.

Yeah they're threatening to send him to NYC. If they send him to NYC bc they dont like NJ making it public and thus taking a worse deal the GM should be fired.
