Troy Smith reminds me of the comedian that would follow Jerry Seinfeld in the show. Kenny Banya? -- He is lucky. He got his collegiate starts against the worst Big 10 teams in the last 20 years and now he gets to make his starts against a mediocre Denver and St Louis teams. Colt Mccoy gets to start against the best teams (though he is doing well).

Troy smith just always seems to get that cakewalk.

Just what I was going to say.

I'm assuming he was a Zwick guy and was proven wrong over and over.

Actually the Rams have the 6th best scoring defense(only one that really matters IMO).. Butttt they have played Arizona,Washington,Oakland(when they werent good), Seattle, Tampa, Carolina and the niners.Along w Detroit and SD but i left them out because they have good offenses. They are an average D, no better or worse.

Oh Shit! Kock Rnutne and I agree that TWHPIH will get his clock cleaned by anybody other than the Broncos.

Like the Rams? Good call there chief. I wonder what the excuse will be this time.

Troy Smith has finally gotten his opportunity, and he's making the most of it.

The excuse this time is that this is the most pathetic division in the NFL. And TWHPIH will eventually let his teammates and fans down just like he did at OSU.

Ok. Well I was confused because you said that he'd fail against any team other than the Broncos and last I checked the Rams aren't the Broncos. I can't wait to see what your excuse will be next week. Oh and let his teammates and fans down? How did he do that? He won the Heisman. He beat Michigan 3 times. He led them to the title game. Sure he didn't perform well in that game but his #1 target went down after the kickoff and his line played like a bunch of matadors leaving him to run for his life.

There is no sane Ohio State fan that doesn't think Troy Smith had an exceptional career in Columbus. For the first time in his career he's had a legit chance to be a starting quarterback and has gone 2-0 with 0 turnovers. That is pretty damn good if you're somebody who knows ANYTHING about the game of football.

only that ND fans/backers are usually delusional and poor judges of talent...waiting for the next great coach to lead their below average talent to the top of the BCS poll... so we've learned over the years to take anything a ND fan states with a grain of salt.

Who said the Rams were going to the Super Bowl? Please quote me on that, I'd love for you to. Go ahead, you can't find it can you? I was referring to the post that said that Troy Smith would fail against any team that wasn't the Broncos (a week after the prediction that he'd fail against any team.) Well the Rams aren't the Broncos so that prediction is false. Next game is against the Buccaneers, so I guess after next week (if they win) it'll be "well... well.... TWHPEITGFHGTFOSMFDIECNH will shit down his leg against any team that isn't the Broncos, Rams, or Bucs lololololol" and so on and so on.

Don't let facts get in the way of your unquestioned hate for Troy Smith. I'm guessing someone's asshole still hurts from the 06 Fiesta Bowl where Troy outplayed the 3rd STRING quarterback from that same "shitty" Broncos team that Troy beat. ("Typical response! oh rabble rabble rabble!)

He's started (I think) three games in the NFL, two of them against garbage and one against a team who sat most of their players right before the playoffs. Seriously, the people who are making Troy Smith out to be the next NFL great are the fools. There's a reason he hasn't started form day one and has basically been a back up. He was great in college but this is the NFL!

Because of an injury and being behind Flacco?

Seriously, he's done fine, and no one is hailing him as the second coming of Roger Staubauch.

watching Troy Smith yesterday reminded me how much I miss a QB who can run AND throw the way he did...TP's good, but TS was a complete QB (of course that was until he beefed up on the Heisman rubber chicken circuit-lol)

You say I have the brain of a worm, but you're one to talk. Again you continue to put words into people's mouths and guess what....people are recognizing it. Hence why NO ONE outside of one fellow Troy Smith hater thinks you have made a coherent contribution to this topic. Who said Troy Smith was headed for Canton? He's had two opportunities this season and HAS made the most of them despite what "spin" you'd like to put on things. I don't care who he's playing, they're still NFL teams. The Rams actually have a pretty good defense this year statistically but as said before, don't let the facts get in the way of your hate (another point you fail to refute). You claim that I bring up the OSU-ND thing because I have "nothing to stand on".....I only bring that up to try and figure out your obvious biased hate for Troy Smith. I have plenty to "stand on"....

In two games he's had:

3 Touchdowns
QB ratings of 115 and 116
0 Turnovers
and most importantly: 2 wins.

It's clear that the 49ers are playing MUCH better with him at quarterback. Again, no one is calling him a pro bowler. But many people believed that once GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY (which he's NEVER had in his career except for at the start of the 08 season in which he got sick and Flacco did well.) he would be successful and had the ability to be a solid starting NFL quarterback. Thus far, he has proven nothing to the contrary.

What I LOVE the most is how you guys keep digging for excuses week after week. Like I said, can't wait to hear your excuse next week if Smith has another good game and the 49ers get another win with him at the helm.

You can call me all the names you want, but no one on here is fooled. You're clearly on the losing end of this battle

He converted a 4th and 18 with the game on the line.

That ALONE about says all that needs to be said about his performance thus far.

Doesn't matter who you're playing, 2-0 with an average of 115.5 QB rating is fucking spectacular.
