VAN BUREN — Zane Kieffer recorded 32 carries for 105 yards rushing as Van Buren was blanked 14-0 by Cory-Rawson in a Blanchard Valley Conference season finale Friday evening.
Cory-Rawson finishes 5-5 overall and 4-5 in the BVC while Van Buren ends its season at 2-8, 2-7.
After a scoreless first half Cory-Rawson’s Jeremiah Alspach connected with Adam Rosendale on a 36-yard TD pass with 10:54 remaining in the third quarter. Cody Thacker then returned an interception 28 yards in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.
Alspach was 3 of 13 passing for 46 yards and had 7 rushes for 20 yards for the Hornets while James Rader had 8 carries for 22 yards.
Van Buren’s Ryan Adolph completed 3 of 11 of 47 passes.
