The Cavs won 61 games last year with Lebron and a bunch of Titos. Is it a stretch to say that Lebron+D-wade+Chris Bosh will get 7 more wins? Some guys at work were arguing with me about this today.

The big guy situation scares me (Z, Haslem, and Joel Anthony) but let's not forget that the Bulls had Luc Longley, Will Perdue, and Bill Wennington during their runs.

ESPN analyst Bruce Bowen (LOL) said he would put the over/under at 50 for the Heat.

that's shockingly low. Lebron without Bosh and D-wade would will a team to at least 50 wins. He's done it before.

I really think 72 is attainable if they keep their foot on the gas pedal

He won 61 with Mo Williams, Z, and Anthony Parker last year. Are you banking on injuries? Or do you think they won't gel?

I think the more appropriate over/under is how many games "the big 3" will play together.

87-negative 5. They're that good!

Seriously, this would be a hard thing to predict. I'd say 60 would be a safe number. They CAN challenge for 72 based on pure star talent, but they've had injury issues in the preseason with Wade and Miller and with their star power at the top, they're not the deepest team out there unless some of those mid-30s retreads find the fabled Fountain of Youth. They COULD be one of the all-time greats...and they COULD wind up as one of the all-time debacles if they don't stay healthy.

Under, I could see one of the Big 2(Let's be honest, no one cares about Bosh) missing some significant playing time.

64 wins.

However, if they are all able to stay healthy and there is tough competition for the #1 spot , I could see an over.

First off, the center position in the NBA is weak league wide. It really won't hurt them as much as people want to think.

Secondly, even though it's the Big 3, they have a very good supporting cast.

I say 64 wins this year. I think year 2 is when they really make a run at a 70+ win season. The thing that makes me think they win 65+ this year is that they are going to be highly motivated. They won't be like Boston and the Lakers who pace themselves, I think they go out every single night trying to prove something, which is scary for everyone else.

As good as Wade is, this team is a LeBron injury away from being what the Heat have been recently.

I doubt that happens though. Ill say they get 67 wins.

He's a top 5 PF in the NBA, without question. Personally, I feel he's top 3.

Okay with that logic, so are the Thunder without Durant. Orlando without Howard. Lakers without Kobe. Dallas without Dirk.

There is no reason to think Lebron will get hurt, since he has no history of it.

No Im saying everyone is talking about the big 3 and they still have the 2 if 1 goes down. But thats only true if it isnt LeBron. W/O him, they might be worse than the last couple years.

I agree with that. Bosh or Wade going down with an injury wouldnt have as big of an impact as Judas going down

Under. Outside the big 3 they really suck ass. I can't see those 3 bringing it for that many games during the regular season. Someone is going to get hurt, and they might have the #1 seed locked up early, so they will start resting at the end of the year.

This is such a stupid hypothetical. So, how about the Lakers without Gasol. Thunder without Westbrook.

You can't talk about a team without one of them best players. Why would anyone assume someone is going to get hurt?
