But for real though..

Hogan is the best in the eyes of the wrestling media.

Ric Flair is the GOAT in the eyes of the wrestling fan, and it's not even close.

Stone cold was known by almost everyone during his time at the top the same way hogan was as well

Incorrect. Not only as Hogan in movies (he starred in a few btw), there was a Saturday morning cartoon starring his character, there were action figures and dolls (the big pillowy ones of him and Savage come to mind), the big yellow Hulkamania finger, and so much more. I am not going to sit here and say the Rock did not blow up as well, but it was not the same as it was for Hogan.

Hogan is the greatest all around. Flair was definitely one of the greatest technicians in the ring.

HBK bridged the gap between Hogan/Flair and Austin/Rock. Without him I'm not sure the Austin/Rock rebirth of wrestling popularity would've even happened. Hogan was important from a marketing aspect but he happened to be the right guy at the right time. Had Flair been in the WWF at that time he could've been just as big as Hogan.

All that Hogan had going for him was charisma. He is a horrible, stiff hack in the ring....."punch, punch, Irish Whip, clotheline, leg drop...match". Flair was a much better worker so he gets the nod.

How is the greatest of all trimes? That was pretty good.

As for the topic, it is Hogan and its not even close in terms of what he did for the business. My favorite/best vote goes to Eddie Guerrero.

When he was clean, I dont think there was anybody better on a day to day basis.

You have guys like Shawn Michaels and BRet Hart who had great matches on the big shows, but on an everyday scale I would have to say Guerrero.

Hogan in Japan was very good. Hogan once he got mainstream in America was putrid to watch.
