Everyone should drive the old cars and wear the goofy outfits from like the 70s and 80s.

And use the sponsors even if it's a business that's not around anymore.

I never watch it but all of the images they show from the old days with the old drivers makes me think they could do something like this. Have a retro night.

Eh...would never work. The sponsors wouldn't allow it to happen and ultimately, they are the ones in control. They get there way. They are too important to the sport. It would be a neat idea though. Every now and then someone will break out a retro paint scheme, but thats about it.

Eh..that might work in the South, but not so much in the rest of the country. I'm not so sure they care about banjo music too much out West ya fuckin' jackass.

Why not Big Chief Knowsnuthin? There are just as many hillbillys "out west" as "down south" ...the biggest diff is they wear cowboy hats instead of trucker caps. SCOOOOOORE! ....again.

Yes, it's hard to argue that. But now a days? Ummm, no, not at all. Jeff Gordon, Jamie McMurray, Kasey Kahne, Clint Bowyer..just to name a few, FAR from "hillbilly's". Try again jackass. Why the NASCAR haters? Most unpredictable sport out there. Most football games, who know who is going to win, before kickoff. 90% of races, you have to wait till the checkered flag to know who won. Thats thrilling!!!!

I actually think a throwback race in vintage 70's vehicles, they could keep their same sponsors......that would be pure gold.

Could you see Carl Edwards, in the AFLAC colors, in a vintage Ford...that would be priceless.
