I just finished mowing the yard. I want to watch this game, but I'll have to hit mute. Can't stand Verne or Gary.

Newton is the real deal. He is toying with the LSU defense. That last run, was a Heisman moment, no question! Game pretty much playing out as I expected, thus far.

If he plays well against Bama, even in a loss, and Auburn wins, it is his.
The only players I can see that could compete would be LaMichael James of Oregon and Kellen Moore of Boise.

The Heisman is Newton's to lose. And LSU's offense is terrible. No excuse to gain less than 250 yards against that defense.

Yeah. If he puts up 200+ yards, but still loses, I still think it is his. But, if Auburn loses any other games, he may fall.
He is that far ahead of the field to me.

Newton has the most yards rushing by a quarterback in SEC history for one season. Through 8 games.
Wow.
Wow.

Seriously, the more i watch LSU and listen to Miles talk...is he not the worst coach in america? 4th and 10...a timeout is called to "organize" a play. Yet LSU comes out, game on the line....and they have no F'n clue whats going on!! The guy is a piece of work! At least he can recruit. Except for the QB position, LSU is loaded with talent...and that talent is what wins. But he is, by FAR, the worst game coach in america!

By far the worst game coach in america? I think thats going a little overboard. He makes many dumb mistakes, and wins lots of games in the process. If Miles got fired after this year he would be at the TOP of every schools list that is looking for a coach.

Fired and be one of the TOP of every school? Sure, at places like Minn. I doubt even UM would give him a sniff at this point if RichRod gets canned. The guy has made a fool of himself the past two years with this game management. It happens to most coaches at times. It happens to Miles almost every friggen game! Again yesterday!! Again, great recruiter, has more talent then most and that is the reason he wins. All things equal, such as yesterday...he will lose more times then not. His coaching is comical!
