Yes this region is LOADED!

Orrville is 4th in region 14 and with their current points they would be 9th in this region...and we play a predominately D2 schedule!

^9th won't get you to the playoffs and besides look at the state rankings and how many teams in this region are ranked in the top ten. End of story.

Be Nice...apparently you read into my post way too much. I was simply stating that "yes", I agree, this is a loaded region and we (Orrville) sitting 4th in region 14 wouldn't even be in the top 8...

.....state rankings don't mean jacksh!$ buddy! They are like tits on a bull!

1 beast....thanks for listing the teams. You beat me to it. However, it's not nice to call people names when you don't know them.

^^^Tiernan....I was curious and just talked to the Jonathan Alder Athletic Director. They average 2,700+ fans just on the home side per game. Not bad for a little DIV, wouldn't you say? lol

Check out today's Ohio High School state football rankings. 6 teams out of Division IV Region 16 are ranked in the top 10 in the state. Like I said that region is totally loaded. The state champion for that division will probably come from that region.

^^^It's not a "good start", but a great fan base that has been following a winning tradition for years.

OWNED???? K.

Tiernan...laughing at D4? I could laugh just the same at D1 and D2 schools all day long...especially if all that you are laughing about is attendance. Just look at state game attendance per division...all 6 have great fans.

Old Rider, that is very true. But you have to consider all of the people that are just there to watch good high school football games..ex: my dad and I, We buy the book of tickets for all 6 championship games, as do a lot of other people!

Rider...just kidding with you. I do know attendance has been very good for the JA games I've attended both home and away this season. Rider...how is the attendance been for your team this year? I think especially with the economy spending $6.00 to watch good football vs $75.00 say for an OSU game is a very good deal.

Orrville has some good crowds.....the past few years though have been down in attendance. I think the economy has a lot to do with that. A lot of fair weather fans too, if it's cold or wet they don't come out, which is sad because 5 years ago it didn't matter the weather, people were at the games. We have had a few away games this year where more rider fans showed up than a home game....which is weird.

I would say our average attendance is about 4500 fans. depending on who we play it could be far more, or far less.

Nice...I smell what your stepping in!

Just like QB said, Orrville fans are fair weather and "are we good" fans...like most small D4 teams. $6.00 is just part of the problem...its also the $15-$20 it took to drive there.

I think that 6 bucks a ticket is the problem....

I mean a family of 4 to attend a game:

2 adult tickets: $12
2 student tickets $8
Gas to drive there: $20
Dinner on way to game: $ 35
Food at game: $15

Total for a family of 4 to attend a game.... $90.00

That is a lot of money if you think about it for one high school football game. I know Orrville isn't the only town that has families in the lower classes that could not afford this. Which is sad we have to charge so much for a game.

^^looks like some budgeting is necessary. How much should a single ticket cost, just curious?

$6.00 for an adult to a high school game seems reasonable. What's a movie cost now adays? And the popcorn at $1.00 is a lot more reasonable than theater popcorn, plus you can still take your own food into a game.
