Time to move on, I suppose. I guess they're hoping he decides it's not worth being a public lame duck coach and bolts, saving the university $200k.

I would hang around for $200,000. I might even be tempted to start going for it on 4th down every single time.

Bolts to save himself having to coach a bad team with a disgruntled fanbase for the remainder of the season. Plus, I'm sure he could get a job as either a recruiting coordinator or position coach somewhere.

Wait, we're losing to Texas Tech? I thought we were up 38-7? We were? Damn.

It will be interesting to see who Minnesota would go after. I really don't know what HS football is like in Minnesota, but with their new facilities I would think this to be a somewhat desirable job for a lot of guys. Wonder if they would go after someone like Luke Fickel, a big time assistant in the Big 10, or someone with head coaching experience.

I would think they're going to go after a coordinator from a BCS school or an up-and-coming head coach. Can't afford to take a big-time gamble on an unknown again (Brewster). Would not be surprised if they have the feelers out there for Mark Richt, especially if Georgia is seriously considering canning him.

With a LOSS? So a win vs Purdue is enough to keep him on for the time being? lol Come on..thats a bit comical to me.

I wonder if Seantrel Henderson's dad is interested--he's from Minnesota, right? and his kid could transfer there and play after sitting a year :D

Too much baggage. Minnesota's Prez and AD are way too PC to deal with it.

FYI, the report that he was consulting earlier this season was false. He was at the game as a guest of Brewster's, as they are friends.

Good night sweet prince:

Gophers spokesman Garry Bowman wrote in an e-mail to the Pioneer Press, "I can't confirm or deny anything in ESPN 1500's report. All I can tell you is that Tim Brewster is our head football coach until Joel Maturi or Tim Brewster decide otherwise."
