I made dinner reservations for Saturday evening at a very nice place. I think it is a total bullshit "holiday" but I see it as an opportunity to win some points with the wife so when I need to call in a favor I have this to fall back on.

Don't celebrate "Sweetest Day" or "Valentine's Day".

Did the exact same thing.

Any excuse to go eat some Jeff Ruby's steak is OK in my book. Plus, the next time I want to get completely shit faced for no reason and watch football, she can't be too upset with me.

Damn right. OSU/Iowa is coming up pretty soon, and of course THE game. So I might as well build up some cred now so I can get drunk and not be home all day those days!

If I need points I'll go down on her three times before she goes down on me once.

Will probably cook filet's... mid-rare, mushroom risotto, grilled asparagus, required elixers, and then some... ya know!

My wife and I really don't celebrate Valentine's Day, we laugh at Sweetest Day.

Matter of fact, I'm in Italy for work while she's at home with the 3 boys for Sweetest Day.

Man, I hope you planned something a little more. Girls are crazy about that shit. Unless you talk about it beforehand, they expect a bunch!

Sweetest day is supposed to be for the male...

Sweetest Day commonly involves women giving their husband or boyfriends candy. While it is not as large or widely observed as Valentine's Day, it is still celebrated in parts of the United States, despite persistent allegations of being a "Hallmark holiday."[9]

My wife surprised me with tickets to the Iowa/Mich game.
