Let me translate that for ya: ''Get me the fuck out of this godforsaken city''.

From what I read it was a case of a bad translation taken out of context. He said he was envious of other teams getting to pop champagne and hopes he can some day.

From Anthony Castrovince's twitter feed:

@castrovince Hello, a Korean sports writer here. Choo said, purely out of envy, he wanted to play on a winning team after watching other guys pop champagne for clinching playoff berths. But he didn't say the word 'transfer' (should have been translated into 'trade.' It's baseball, not soccer) as far as I know. But he also said he wants to stay with one club for a long time and Cleveland would be his first choice. Then he said his agent would take care of his contract situation and that he hadn't heard anything special from the agent. Hope this helps.

If he wants traded I'd love seeing him in LF for Cincinnati.

I pity any player that plays under the Dolans.

Is his contract up? He's as good as gone if it is, because obviously he isn't getting paid.

Well, all you'll have to do is offer a package of marginal prospects who are minor-league studs whose ability doesn't necessarily translate to the pros. Since Choo's not on the same level as Sabathia and Lee, I'd say one AAA journeyman and two mid-level A/AA players will do the trick.

I'd give up a guy like Alonso and more for Choo.

No he has 3 years before he's a free agent.

Be sure to include a catcher that hits for a sub-.200 average and you would have a deal.

This.

The only reason we even drafted Alonso was for trade bait. Hell, give them him, Heisey and someone else from AA and it's a deal.

Sounds good to me. I'll call Walt and tell him to get it done.

The Tribe is so dumb they'd probably trade Choo to the Reds straight up for Adam Dunn (and yes, I know that Dunn is no longer with the Reds).

Fuck Dolan, the Tribe went from a very respectable club, to this quote which is sadly an accurate description of what the Tribe has become. 2007 seems like it was 20 years ago.

Hmmm I'll have to think about that.

JK I can look at pics of Ryan Garko anytime. Choo is actually good, lol.

What has happened to Garko's career? I remember he was supposed to be a big prospect. The latest I have seen of Garko, he was batting .091.

No idea...I honestly thought that both he and Ben Fransisco would be pretty decent MLB players.

Shapiro has been milking the reputation he gained for the once in a lifetime Bartolo Colon trade for 8 years now, and has done nothing since then to give me any faith he is capable of leading a turn around. Dolan is dug in and is never selling the team (there will be generations of Dolans owning it) and now all we have to look forward to is Jacobs field becoming a winter wonder land.

He also bent over Seattle on a couple of trades (Choo, Cabrera) and got the better of the Casey Blake trade. Not all of them have been winners but considering how hamstrung he's been by the tight-ass owner I think he did a respectable job.

I agree....the Cliff Lee one really pisses me off though. It was like they were in a rush to get him the hell out. He had a year and a half left on his deal and they gave him away. I will never understand that one just because they still had him under contract.
