This might be stupid but why not send a doctor down to work on the ones that won't be out for a day or so.

What an amazing story. This is truly a miracle. Prayers to all miners and their families and all the rescue workers!

P.S. From my following of this story, it's my understanding the rescue team had a very strategic plan on the order the various miners to come out. They wanted the most knowledgeable/adept mine workers who are in the best health to come out first: (1) so the rescue workers could see how they faired making the transition and (2) in case there were any problems on the assent, they would be the most knowledgeable to correct any potential problems, or offer advice to the rescue workers upon their exit, etc. Next in line were supposedly the most sickly (there is someone who has diabetic needs and I believe a miner with heart issues). The last to be rescued were those miners who were in the best emotional state mentally to endure being the last to be rescued. They had volunteers for this.

Yea, from what I've heard they Chilean volunteers have been really diligent in evaluating the mental and physical health of the miners. They monitored them all the time. They even monitor what kind of entertainment the minors were allowed to watch (movies, nothing depressing, scary, or political). Food, water, and beds were all sent down to the minors.

Even with all of that help, I could not imagine being trapped in a mine for that long...unbelievable.

Not this "would" be a great movie, but this "WILL" be a great movie. I'm sure production is already being discussed. Book deals and TV appearances will certainly be highly sought after.

Why the hell is Fox News the only channel broadcasting this? And even then, they have to have their regular news on because there was more news from around the country. Seriously, does anyone really care about all this political bullshit? Every last one of them are crooked.

Fox News has Bill O'Reilly on doing his normal bashing of the Democratic Party, BUT AT LEAST THEY HAVE A SMALL SCREEN SHOWING THE MINE RESCUE!
CNN has the Delaware senate debate. Does anyone outside of Delaware and DC really care?
MSNBC, I can't tell what the hell they are going on about.
CNBC is doing something on porn. ;)
HLN, I refuse to watch Nancy Grace, period. That woman disgusts me.

#32 on his way up.

My mom asked that a little while ago, "How's the last guy in the mine going to get strapped in?"

Then my dad replied, "They didn't tell that person when they went down, but he has to climb out of the hole or he will die."

How much do you think the rescue capsule would sell for? Now I know, or at least I believe, that it likely won't be sold as it's too far an important Chilean icon for selling.
