OSU will shoot up the BCS charts with their schedule, that is a fact. They already hold a dominant lead in the Coaches Poll.
no not everyones else's purdue prediction. nice try. the fact remains that the rose bowl win was meaningless it had to outcome in the national title.but buckeyes fans are so desparate for a win they will take anything. as i recall the coaches poll is not the sole criteria used in the bcs formula. and thats a good thing. because some coaches have stated in the past they dont even vote because they dont have time. one coach said he had his son do it.

thats a big if. if some from the sec goes unbeaten they will blow by the bucks. or if oregon goes unbeaten they will be there. or possibly nebraska or oklahoma. when the bcs comes out and your bucks are back in 6 place you will need alot of luck. beacuse your schedule is full of tomato cans and sub tomato cans

If the Rose Bowl game was so meangingless then why did you spend so much time trying to tell us how Oregon was going to pound OSU?

I got no problem with these "mock" BCS standings. If OSU takes care of business everything will come together in the end.

I agree with the OSU posters here EXCEPT that last year's bowl games should be considered when ranking teams. Last year should have nothing to do with it, and I have a feeling if the shoe were on the other foot, you all would agree.

If you can't figure out why Iowa and Wisky are not to be respected as good...then you just dont' know, nor follow football. They were good last year. And yes, that does mean something when BOTH teams RETURN a good majority of their starters.
Bama was preseason ranked #1...why? Because of last year. BUT, they lost most of their defense. OSU was preseason ranked high...WHY? Because of how they finished last year. BUT, they also returned a majority of their starters. So, last year is last year...no question. But there are REASONS a previous season can be looked at in terms of WHO and HOW MANY they return! Its NOT brain science!

Interesting read here. This guy ranks CFB using the Ohio High school formula. Rankings up to this week below. Theses rankings are very volitile and change drasticly week to week. I think in the end of the year they will be very close to actual rankings with a few surprises. Also of all the computer rankings I like this one because it only looks at Wins and Losses.

Agreed. Last year is in the past and should stay there. Last season is for pre-season polls. Once the season starts polls should be based on this seasons performance.

like i said wisconsin's 4 wins came over teams that area combined 6-17. that is fact and it cant be disputed. i can see how beating teams of that caliber will get ranked high. and iowa didnt they lose to arizona from the pac 10 ? the same pac 10 that big ten backers say is a weak conference that plays no D? so why would anyone consider iowa to be a good team based on the criteria that big 10 faithful use. if it was anyone from the sec losing to arizona . the big ten backers would have a field day.

You Ohio State fans need to realize that the BCS and NCAA are gringing to get Boise and TCU in the National Championship together and if this ranking is true and all teams above them win out.....Ohio State WILL NOT play for the National Championship

who has Boise beaten that warrants them being ahead of OSU?
VT? the same VT that lost to James Madison? this team was probably the most overrated football team in the country.
Oregon State? this team is hellaciously overrated and once they get into the meat of their schedule it will be proven so.
I'm not faulting Boise here. but for the first week LSU should be ranked higher than them. at least LSU has played some legitimate teams

The meltdown this board would have if Ohio State goes undefeated and does not make it to the National Championship Game (very unlikely, but really who knows) would be worth the price just to see it.

Not so fast OSU's SOS will end up trumping BSU and TCU's SOS and they would pass them in the BCS.
