Strickland is pretty much just a suit. Kasich can win if his skeletons don't hurt him too much...

I supported Strickland the last time and while he hasn't exactly set the world on fire as our Governor, I just can't see supporting Kasich. I don't trust Kasich as far as I can throw him and he is far too conservative for me. My parents would turn over in their graves if they knew how I voted and will again in the next election.

'johnnydollar411'. If you check, every politician who runs for office always promises solutions to the educational funding issue. It doesn't matter what the Party of the candidate. Every candidate promises everything and delivers nothing. We always seem to fall for the promises and we never get satisfaction. Mr Kasich has no more ability to bring financial reform to Ohio than Strickland does. I'm not saying who to vote for. I'm just saying that all politicians tell us what we want to hear.

Not that I put a lot of stock in polls other than to show trends. Here is a Quinnipiac poll 11/11/09.

40%-40% split.

Specifics in article.

I care about Ohio and the people in it, and at this point, i think Kasich might be the best for the citizens and the state as a whole.

Personally, I don't really much care about personality types if they can get work done.

Not Strickland, he hasn't done enough for the people who put him in office down here in the southern part of the state, when he won the last time, I told my wife that Strickland better remember we put him in office and we can take him out.

Ohio has been ran into the ground by the Republican party who has dominated this state for a long time. I will not be voting any Republicans in for a long time to see if the other party can actually do something to correct the years of Republican misleadership.

For the past 45 years Republicans have been in the Governors seat for 30 of those years a massive amount of time to make this a great state. We are not a great state by any means and Governor Strickland and the Democrats have not had enough time to correct all the damage done by the Republicans.

People say to give people a chance well 30 years out of 45 is a great chance to make things work and they have failed.

My personal experiences with him involve him not being nice and downright rude to the workers. I have little respect for people who are unwarrentedly rude to servers and I definitely won't vote for such a person. Plus, like BCSbunk said, I won't vote Republican for awhile longer to see if the Democrats can fix things.

So if a Republican comes in with better ideas than Strickland you would vote for Strickland just because of past problems with Repub Governor's. Me personally, I have not been impressed one bit with Strickland, he hasn't done anything to help the state, he has just sat in Columbus waiting for some of that Obama money. Ohio needs a governor that will cut taxes on businesses and offer tax breaks and incentives for new businesses to come into the state. We need a governor that will also look at Washington and say we will not follow your lead in the art of spending money we don't have. We also need a governor that will do whats right for the schools, make sure there is equal funding so all of the states students can have a chance to succeed. Thats just a few things that our next governor needs to work on doing.
