Wasn't he the #1 RB out of high school last year? They were talking about something like that when SC played Georgia earlier this year!

#1 by some services #2 in others but yeah pretty damn awesome outta high school. My guess is that the appeal of his hometown team as well as being the starting RB for an SEC title contending team seemed pretty appealing as an option.

I think he and Bell from MSU are two of the best frosh RB in the country. Both big and strong.

Yep and I believe he's from SC yet it was still kind of a surprise he chose the Gamecocks.

No doubt! Bell and Lattimore hands down are the 2 best freshman running backs.

Not hands down. Mike Dyer from Auburn would disagree. #2 running back last year from Scout behind Lattimore.

Cue the default SEC excuse of how much tougher the conference schedule is than every other conference in the country, and by year's end, the media will have all the humans believing it. I've seen ESPN and co. convince people to put in a 2 loss team before, so as long as Alabama wins out, the other teams don't stand a chance.

Well the "real" top 10 is.

#1 Auburn
#2 LSU
#3 Alabama
#4 South Carolina
#5 Arkansas
#6 Florida
#7 Oregon
#8 Ohio St
#9 Boise St
#10 Nebraska

Only a fool sees college football any other than that?????????

I think Auburn will be moving up (as long as they win) and LSU could be up there too if they take care of business against a rebuilding Florida program.

The others will all be ahead of Alabama...

TCU was 5th coming into today, and won 45-0 (yet another shutout). Wonder if they still drop, despite yet another blow out win and great day by their defense.

Yeah, forgot about TCU... TCU could be stretching it. Not sure SEC country will allow that to happen

But this is exactly why people discredit Boise State, TCU, etc...

They don't have a tough conference to challenge them on a weekly basis so it's really hard to tell how good they actually are. They have 1-2 meaningful games a year. Where the schools in the SEC, Big 10, Big 12 and Pac 10 have the whole conference season to go through. The BCS conferences are more challenging (for the most part) than what Boise State and TCU play on a weekly basis. That's why they dont' get respect.

Uggh not again haha. Yes many of the BCS conferences are stronger (the Big East and ACC may the exception) but let's not get carried away here. There are plenty of dogs in each conference. Ohio State isn't playing a top 25 team every single week. Heck a lot of times they go a few weeks between tough games. They beat a very ordinary Illinois team last week and then beat the bejesus out of a terrible Indiana squad today

And that is why people makes fools of themselves, when the Boise St TCU and Utah beat the alleged good teams. Alabama was over rated plain and simple S. Carolina is a good football team but no where near elite. Alabama was a flawed football team as I have stated every single week. I have not seen a perfect football team yet this year so the horn blowing for Alabama was not needed nor warranted.

But you both miss the point. Yes, Boise State and TCU can beat those "good teams" one or two times a year. The problem is having to face those good teams for most of the conference schedule... back to back to back.

TCU and Boise play 1 to 2 games against those type of teams a year, where if a team is in the SEC, Big 10, Big 12, Pac 10 then they have about 5-6 of those games a year minimum. As a whole, those conferences are HEADS AND SHOULDERS above the non-BCS conferences.

Bingo, we have a winner. ON top of that, those big wins were in bowl games where they a month time to prepare. Its the week in, and week out competition and pounding that the BCS conferences have to deal with compared to others. ITs physical and mentally draining. Look at Bama today..third straight ranked team they played. It caught up with them. Thats what Boise and TCU don't have to deal with.
