However, you can take all of these series at columbus state, and im guessing at OSU nerk as well. I have taken phys 132 at c state, and plan on taking chem 122 and math 255 there as well its a joke how much easier it is there and all of the credit transferrs to OSU.

What do you do when an employer gets your transcript and asks you why you took those at CSU and not OSU?

Go the OSU route.

I agree, unless you are talking polymer engineering, CASE is by far the best engineering school in the state, for a lot of people the cost is too high to afford.

And Akron? Ya, go to Akron, they are entirely on OSU's level

I wouldn't expect you to understand engineering, but actually when it comes to chemical and polymer engineering Akron U is head and shoulders above OSU, its not even close. Akron U has either the #1 or #2 ranked polymer engineering program in the nation (then and UMass at Amherst shift back and forth between 1 and 2).

Now, if you are talking electrical, civil, or mechanical then yes, OSU is better than Akron U, but Akron U is still 2nd in the state with regards to public schools (3rd overall with CASE being #1).

couldn't agree more. MC gave me a hell of a break when i went there. I paid 40,000 out of pocket and tuition was like 30,000 per year (i think) at that time.

would've loved to have gone to Case.

I would love to see these rankings with Akron above OSU for Chem E and Case above OSU in anything except biomedical.

Wowser bowser! Thanks for all the input never expected this much response. Looks like OSU is the winner, and thanks for the warm invite Sleeper. Now I should find out whether OSU-N will worth the time and see what classes I can take there and what transfers. Thanks again for all the advice, got to love the intranets probably couldn't have got this much info from friends and peers.

And I wont do the IE probably just the ME.

I would tell them that my 3 (and hopefully soon to be 4) years worth of summer internship is better than anything that grades can do for me. Any other questions?

Pay the out of state and go to Purdue....

Seriously, there are a TON of OSU tranfers here in W. Lafayette who are doing so because the program here is so well respected, and I'm saying this as an Ohio U. grad...

Internet trolling. OSU's program for that must suck pretty bad though.

The National Research Council college PhD program rankings most certainly ranks Polymer Science and Polymer Engineering. Depending on which year you look at Akron U is either #1 or #2. University of Massachusetts at Amherst is always up there with them in the top 2.

Unfortunately their rankings are for purchase, not just listed out.
