Minnesota could make some noise here. After CC, the Yanks starting pitching has been dreadful.

I like how New York's pitching shapes up here. CC has been lights out, Phil will keep us in the game, and Andy is a gamer in the postseason.

3-0 after Posada lets one get away.

I love it. Great job getting out of the jam in the top of the 3rd. Getting Tex and ARod like that is huge.

Does anyone else love Jim Thome? I still have his jersey when he was a Philly.

Twins have great plate appearances....even when they make outs...they know what they are doing each at bat

I had a chance to talk to Liriano a few times when I was working for a newspaper in Florida during spring training.

Nice dude. Had to work really hard to get back after the injury a few years ago. You could kind of see it at that time he was worried if he would ever be the same and have a major league career.

4-4. Yanks take the lead but then CC walks in a run to tie it.

I usually don't complain about announcers, but damn, Ernie Johnson is absolutely terrible. He has no idea what the ball is doing when it comes off the bat. The worst play-by-play guy I've ever heard.

I'm not watching the game, who else is in the booth with him? He does Braves games for PeachtreeTV with Smoltz and he is usually pretty entertaining.

Baseball certainly isnt EJs specialty. I dont know why he is doing PxP. He is a great studio host, I hate when networks try to make their talent do different jobs like it will be a seamless transition. IT ISNT THE SAME!

Ron Darling maybe? I doubt Smoltz and EJ are their usual selves, probably had to tone it down quite a bit.

That's why I listen to 880 WCBS & John Sterling. Can't pick up WCCO very good anymore like years ago. Does John Miller do their games?
6-4 Yankees bottom of the 8th, Kerry Wood on in relief.

Rivera gets an easy grounder and the Yankees lead, 6-4 heading to the ninth inning.

nice play by Jeter

that wasn't hit very hard and he gathered it quickly

Rivera two-run lead, at least, going to the 9th
