You know you're good when the opposing team is celebrating holding you to 315 or so yards total offense

Yeah the offense. Its that 100+ ranked defense thats the issue. I wonder if Rich Rod will EVER have a decent defense. Hell mediocre would be an upgrade.

I was talkin about just Robinson, not the offense in general, guess its the same thing pretty much though. But I dont think the defense would EVER be great with the caliber of players we have on that side of the ball, but with a normal scheme not a 3-3-5 and a competent coordinator theyd be mediocre

And that's a bad thing because? What kind of dumbass would put together a system where the QB gets few yards? Durrrrrrr.

I hate Michigan like most buckeye fans. But denard doesn't rub me as a thug at all. He's a hell of a player. He's going to be a force the next few years.

Michigan is probably a year or two from being "back" but I think they are finally finding their niche.

I agree---he's a helluva QB who's still a work in progress....what tsun needs is a defense--they can't constantly be putting pressure on the offense to outscore their opponents in shootouts. I don't care how good he is--he can't do it all himself.

Some of our OSU fans are making themselves look really bad, as this is the ONLY thread over here this weekend where there is any trolling. Keep up the good work guys.

At least there isn't name calling this time in the threadshitting? I guess that's a positive.

The thing that worries me is, does a young, bad defense get better the next couple years? Or are they just that bad. They've got some young talent that normally wouldn't be seeing the field.

A bad defense becomes mediocre in 1 off season simply but getting the FUCK out of a 3-3-5

excellent question...I do know that Rich Rod needs to recruit some speed for your secondary, and he will.

I don't know much about Robinson as a Dcord, but as a head coach, he wasn't very good. I see a complete lack of discipline on defense. Poor tackling, out of place , etc, etc. Again, I ask...is it a complete lack of talent? From what I have seen, coaching is certainly part of it. Or is it a combination? Or is there talent, and the coaching just that poor? I haven't watched enough to really know to be honest.

I'm guessing LJ was referring to rushing yards out of the QB spot, not passing yards.

First time Denard has faced a somewhat good defense and he flops.

Pryor has proven he can show up in big games, Denard hasn't. Not saying he can't but MSU was able to contain Robinson, pressure him into making bad decision which caused turnovers. In the biggest game of the season Denard didn't play to well.

315 yards 2 tds isnt flopping. Sure he had 3 turnovers which is hardly good. But its not like he was put on lock the entire day and didnt know what to do. 2 picks were the product of bad throws not the defense confusing him. The 3rd pick was just a terrible read I agree that made him look bad on that pass

I also anticipate Denard Robinson having a 3-4 week injury in the coming games.

He could have put up 400 yards, but when you are playing against a ranked opponent/at home/arch rival/first true test you cannot give away the ball like he did. Its even worse IMO that some of those turnovers took at minimum 3 points off the board as UM had great field position.

He was contained in the rushing game (4.0 ypc compared to his 9+ going into the game). Didn't really get the big rushing play like he has in previous games.

Not trolling at all, but just stating facts. This was the test we were all looking forward to for Denard and his numbers dropped immensely.
