Cinci has everything to lose in this game. I agree that even the most ardent UC fan would be hard pressed to shine a halo of light on a thumping of a Big10 bottom feeder. Hell, if the game is CLOSE I could see many questions being raised as to Cinci's strength, both as a team as well as their schedule.LJ wrote: Now, if Cincy wins will it be a quality win? Well it would be an OOC win against a BCS conference team, but that's as far as it goes. I mean, Illinois is 3-7, I'm not sure how anyone would call that a quality win in whichever way you try to spin it.
This is a bad game for UC at this point in time.

The only true victory (in other words, the only thing that could HELP UC) would be to hold Illinois to 7 or less and put up 35+ytownfootball wrote:Cinci has everything to lose in this game. If UC let's Juice, Benn and or Leshoure/Ford get free and have big games, even with a victory, would raise big questions about how complete of a team UC is.

I predicted this on another thread. I agree with you.

Cinci has to win this game by more then 30 for me to believe they could play with osu. Illinois is in the dump. They have 3 wins and just no reason to play. So if Cinci doesn't destroy them, then they can't keep talking about being better then osu.
I like watching cinci play, they're fun and really good!! This is a put up or shut up game.

For some reason this game has the same feeling of the Illinois/OSU game from 2 years ago in the Shoe. Other than that Illinois team was a lot better than this year's, they can all but ruin a great season for a team.

Great to hear Speil's calling this game. After all he has gone through in the past week, I don't know how he is doing it.

Hooray. Good betting day so far with Rutgers -3 and Illinois +21.athlete37 wrote: Agreed Mulva, I took Illinois +21. Hope we're right lol
Loving some of the spreads today. Mississippi State -3.5 against Richmond and Baylor -5 against Iona in basketball too. Hoping to clean up on those.

No reason to eat crow you made a prediction and stuck with it to many times on these boards posters will wait too after the fact to say anything.lhslep134 wrote: I think that Illinois is finally starting to score a bit, and catch Cinci looking ahead to Pitt.
I've been predicting this for a few weeks, thought I would make it public.
And if Cincinnati wins, I will eat crow.

Illinois played like crap half the time today and played like a ranked team another part. If they could have put 4 consistent quarters together, they could have beat Cincy. Cincy is a pretender. Pitt will expose them for the frauds they are next week.

Cinci will win again next week, and will impress in their bowl game. There's a prediction for ya.

Well, they play either Florida or Alabama in their bowl. I would be impressed if they lose by less than 30. We'll see if they can impress.thedynasty1998 wrote: Cinci will win again next week, and will impress in their bowl game. There's a prediction for ya.
