I saw the Yankees play in Seattle a year ago and AROD still gets booed in Seattle. Manny Gets booed in Boston. Favre gets the same thing in GB. Thats how sports work. Is there a certain time frame in which Cleveland fans are allowed to criticize Lebron? If the guy says or does something stupid and a Cleveland fan makes a comment its because they are "butt hurt"?
My main point was that he didn't come out and say the backlash he received was all due to race. People are saying he played the race card when in reality he was asked a pretty dumb question, said something that shouldn't be seen as controversial, didn't talk about it in great depth, and didn't give it more than a 5 or 6 word response. It is getting blown out of proportion. Sure booing him and the like is fine, but fans making a big deal out of this is just is minor league.

Your right, Kobe stayed on the Lakers during the lean years and now he is ready to win his 3rd straight and 6th overall.

He also was the main reason for the lean years.

This is beyond the "Cleveland fans are butthurt" crap. I completely understood him leaving and had no problem with it, but the way he handled it and continues to handle it is just god awful.

I feel the same way. Some of his comments since the decision have been pretty classless.

"nobody can do it by themselves, I know that by example"...........gimme a break

Not only does booing your former player happen in sports, but this is a unique situation. I can't ever remember a superstar willingly leaving his hometown team that drafted him, especially when the team improved each year and has been a title contender for a few years (in other words, an ideal situation). You see the opposite happen occasionally (like Griffey going to the Reds or even Strawberry going to the Dodgers) but this situation has never really happened before. Add in "The Decision" and it's just a complete mess of a situation.

Look, no one here thinks very highly of Lebron, but he's still the best to ever play the game, and yes that means better than Jordan.

The thing that will always separate Lebron from Jordan and other top tier NBA players is his inability to deal with pressure. In Game 5 against Boston, he looked like he was wilting under the pressure. You never saw that out of Jordan. LeBron is a very unique player and we haven't really seen a player with his skill set in the NBA before, but he isn't the best to ever play the game. Give me Jordan every single time and its really not that close.

Whoever created the term "butt hurt" should have their nuts cut off and fed to them. That is about the gayest term I've ever heard.

i have no problem with james leaving. but to go on national tv and talk about all the things you have done for the city and the organazation for the last 7 years , after tanking a playoff series . that just frosts my ass.

Its just a common term the trolls like to use when they troll Cleveland related topics.
