Just like Bruce who swung at the first two and the 4th, but was unable to even foul one off! Lopez used the Trevor Hoffman approach on him with 3 change-ups for strikes and a show-me fastball outside, but his fastball was 92 mph.

Lyon gets the opposite field looking Votto on the weakness when he's doing that, a fastball on the hands right on the edge of the strike-zone, also 92 mph. If Votto is looking oppo with no strikes he needs to take that pitch even though it is located such that it would be called a strike.

Excellent pitching by the Astros bull-pen tonight.

Im going by if the Braves win the WC. If someone else wins the WC then they would play the Phills.(i think thats how it works at least)

Yea, the Reds are basically 3 games back for the #2 seed, as SF has the tiebreaker. The Reds had to make a decision, either go for the #2 seed or make sure all the key players were healthy going into the playoffs. They obviously chose the 2nd option. Honestly, if we have to play Philly at any point, which most likely would've happened in the NLCS anyway, I prefer a 5 game series. I think it's easier for an underdog to win a short series, as opposed to a 7-game series, jmho.
