At least two new teams will be going to the playoffs this year. I was worried for a while that we'd have the same 8 teams yet again.

I was watching MLB network and they cut in to the Reds game as the pitch was being delivered. Unreal way to clinch a spot. Would have been awesome to see in person, regardless of who you are rooting for. Did you stick around for celebration? I didn't see you on the Reds post game show behind the set...

Then you must have seen Jim Day get attacked by Gomes and Rhodes??? That was a thing of beauty!!!

I doubt Blanton will get a start in the post season. 3 man rotation.

Nope was referring to the Reds. About Blanton they already said he will pitch game 4 if we are up in the NLCS. But the NLDS is just going to be a 3 man rotation.

Attacked with Budweiser and/or bubbly?? I changed the channel after Day repeatedly begged for someone to bring him a cigar so I think I missed that. That was quite the party though, some of the players were trashed about 8 minutes after the game ended.

I stuck around for a while, then went to Fountain Square for a while. The streets were just packed with people. I took a few pictures and some video with my phone, it was unreal. When I get back from the store (buying some champagne for work tomorrow) I will post them.

I'm not sure what it actually was. They came on set with 2 big cups each of something and just got after it. And right before they walked off, Arty yelled in Jim's ear "How you like that shit?" You could hear it plain as day lol

1-1, in 3 Starts. Hamels got a win and Halladay got a lost. Also Halladay went 9 innings allowing 0 runs in a ND in which the Phillies won.
0-2 in 2 statrts was Oswalt....But I really think he is a totally different pitcher right now. Both L came while he was in Houston.

What an unbelievable moment in time. Something I'll remember forever. Amazing to think that Great American Ballpark has never been as jumping as it was tonight.

I found Marty's call of the HR: http://a1135.g.akamai.net/f/1135/30265/1h/cchannel.download.akamai.com/30265/1120/richmedia/final_call_bruce_homer_9-28.mp3

I wasn't sure i would see this day again...

I was at Riverfront in '90, and I honestly thought that would be the last post season game I would see in Cincinnati...

then they surprised me in '95, briefly.....

went to the one-game playoff in '99 with the Mets.

MLB has become a league of the "have" and "have-nots"...with the exception of the Twins, and maybe the A's, small markets are generally an afterthought in the current make-up of Major League Baseball.

i will be in the GABP for a playoff game, one way or the other....................

Go Reds!!

To Jordo and all of the other Red's fans,

Congratulations. I was wrong about the Cardinals winning the division. The Reds showed remarkable staying power while the egotistical Cardinals faltered under the pressure.

I'm praying for a Reds-Rays world series.

Justin - I have a pretty badass video of all the players coming around and giving high fives but it wont let me upload to youtube... says the file is too large. I was also in Fountain Square after the game probably walked right past you!

I ordered the t-shirt by 11 last night haha. The hats kinda look goofy with saying 'playoffs' on them.

God last night was unreal..I was 6 years old the last time..

The team shop is pretty much picked clean at GABP but they are supposed to get more stock in tomorrow. I didn't get a chance to buy anything last night so I'll be running down tomorrow before work to pick up at least one tshirt.
