What a fitting way for this team to clinch the division. It's been a long time for us diehard Reds fans and I am excited. I was just an 18 year old senior in high school the last time they made it. Man was that a long time ago.

Awesome season. Glad to say I've watched as many games as possible all season. Saw them twice in person and going again on Saturday

I was in the 4th grade when they won the World Series last. I hope they give us a nice 20 year reunion.

Congrats Reds from a Tribe fan... at least we have one Ohio team in these playoffs. Nice way to do it by Bruce, I have been a fan of his since he came up.

That was an absolutely awesome way to clinch it!

Hopefully, winning the division this way gives the Reds some much needed momentum heading into the post season.

I wonder how Chris Carpenter is going to explain this to his son?

Isn't it about time to move on to something new? Like how the Reds are going to beat Halladay, Hamels, and Oswalt?

I'll tell you....better win a couple more games and finish ahead of the Giants or Padres, so you wont have to face them until the NLCS. Then you would get to see Blanton for Game 4.

Are you referring to the Braves? Its not possible for them to play Phillies until NLCS...

I doubt Blanton will get a start in the post season. 3 man rotation.

those 3 are something like 1-3 vs the reds this year in 5 or 6 starts.

congrats to the Reds. my dad is a Reds fan who's stuck by em year after year they've been crappy and now he's excited that they're in the playoffs again. As others said, win a couple of games and finish ahead of San Diego/San Francisco so you don't have to face Philly
