You can get 3 stooges dvds at the library. Speaking of the library , is that you on the library homepage searching the shelves?

Talked to our QB last night via Facebook. He said the offense is going to be hitting on all cylinders this week. He has a short memory and that is what you need playing this position. This is a growing/learning year for him and of course there are going to be mistakes...but let's remember we are 4-1 right now with a sophomore QB, just think about the next two years, we got a lot to look forward to!!!

Its week 6...and at some point the turnovers need to be limited. I hope we grow and learn quick!

NIAGARA FALLS?!!???!!!BRF;499408 wrote:I REMEMBER that, too! And in a situation where we were deep in WH territory late in the game, when we should have kept the ball on the ground and ate clock, we aired it out, interception, and then on their offense, WH receiver catches a tipped ball for a huge gain, and we got beat. Yeah, I REMEMBER.

We will be full strength this week for the first time all year. Stay healthy and get out with a win Friday. If we are going to have a blowout offensive game... let's save it for next week, haha.
Nebraska D line coach was their Monday. Pretty sure Max is going out for an official visit on the 16th for Nebraska vs Texas. Liked junior Mason Monheim as well...invited him out to any game he could make it this year. Being a junior the travel expense is on the kid.

This Coshocton fan would love to see WH pull off the upset. We could use the second-level points in Division 4 Region 15.

Great news for Max and Mason!
It sure is exciting as a parent of 3 young future Red Rider football players and the potential that a major college program is interested in what we are doing here in ORRVILLE!

A win is a win. Pretty crappy first half. But, Riders dig in and right the ship in the second half. I hope Pirman is OK. Penalties....slowly I turn, step by step....ahhhhh! How about our attendance? Worst home game attendance I have ever seen for a decent night.

WKLM radio had it 12 to 1 in penalties, the really bad part of our night, shoot our feet!

West Holmes played well for one half, but Orrville made the correct adjustments at half. I turned to Mrs 300 at half and said final score might be 30-6, but positives could come from that.
As far as the attendance for Orrville, I was shocked to see the turnout for ahome game of a great program. Orrville played very uninspired football for most of first half, while WH was doing a nice job on defense against the spread. Both sophomore QB's showed their weakness, but the Riders have Simpson and Manheim to carry them, while WH is a year or two away from being at that next level. Riders will be struggling in the coming years from the way things look, but you never know....
Keep your heads high WH, good things are coming.

Max just thinks he popped a rib or 2 out of place. He should be fine. Another ugly win , but a win none the less. We made a few strides offensively tonight. West Holmes is a lot like us offensively...hard for them to sustain a drive. We'll work hard for next week.....we are definitely the underdog.....and we should be. Hopefully the D can keep it close and give us a chance.

mr 300? I am confused by this statement..... Riders will be struggling in the coming years from the way things look, but you never know....On defense we had 3-4 seniors playing and had a frosh at inside LB, on offense we had 3-4 seniors playing. Of the skill spots only Simpson graduates? Where is the weakness you see coming? I am curious?

Thank you for that verification from your view looking over. Pretty sad. And half of them are old fossils that should be tucked away in an easy chair at home. I tip my hat to them for coming out, because when I get to be their age (soon), I will be tucked away in an easy chair! '-). So what is up with this? I did notice hundreds of little kids running around and bumping into the old folks. Maybe we need to put that old rule into effect of having them remain seated. Nah...any good program HAS to have the little football games going on over by the restrooms. Ha ha! Speaking of restrooms....ours are like old Municipal Stadium. Where are all our other commentators tonight?

Ah, there is 5knots chiming in since I posted, bringing up my next question. How is the cupboard bare?....and providing the answer. I want to know from you Rider fans....what do you think is the problem with attendance?
I forgot to bring up the question of the bands. Hmmmm..WH with like 100 kids to our like 40? What the heck is going on?

It was a chilly night and I don't think most expected a good game. It seemed close to the usual crowd up where I sat, but I didn't move around to look at the crowd elsewhere.

Ah ha! A chilly night?...yes. A great night to witness a high school game?...yes. That chilly doesn't seem to stop the 80 and over crowd from coming out. The north stands above and beyond the small student section were pretty much bare and there were PLENTY of seats on the south end, too.riders1;504110 wrote:It was a chilly night and I don't think most expected a good game.
