It needs to get warm so I can start enjoying a pint and a smoke on the patio at Fado

Ugh, then you've never had the Italia or Americana. Both were VERY disappointing (though the Brazilia was okay).Curly J;697933 wrote:I haven't had a LX2. I might have to break down and buy one/some online. I've never been disappointed in any CAO, some are just better than others.
I normally view CAO as a Tier 2 choice, only because I think they're more of a crapshoot. Gurkha, Perdomo, Rocky, and Cohiba are all among my first choice, as I don't think I've ever had a bad one from any of them (Rocky is sort of in between).
I had a great smoke this evening. Had a 5 Vegas Cask Strength. It'd been awhile since I'd done 5 Vegas, but damn. That was GOOOOOOOOOOOD!

Come on 'O'. I really like the Italia, more than the Brazilia. The Americana was okay for me, but just to light. It's a nice looking cigar, but doesn't follow up with flavor.
Perdomo, I've only had their Grand Cru and it was awesome. Cohibas, had a few of them and most seemed to burn uneven and left me disappointed especially due to their 'name'. Rocky, I've been having more of these lately, had one last night in fact...a 1999 Vintage Connecticut. For a light colored stick that has a lot of flavor.

When it comes to CAO I love the MX2 as stated earlier, I also like the Gold Maduro as a nice stick to smoke while cutting the grass or something.
When I smoke Rockey's I do like the Vintage 1990 or 1992 box press maduro wrapper. I tried some of the other, lighter wrappers, and wasn't overly impressed.
I have had a few Gurhka's, those are pretty good cigars.
I have been smoking a lot of Punch Cigars lately. I am really liking them right now. But I seem to go in phases with what I like and dislike.
One cigar I have found to always please is a Mon O' War Ruination. It is a big, dark, oily cigar. The only drawback is that I have to mail order them and it is a pain in the butt. A pretty solid heavy cigar for around $9.00 each.

Ugh, I thought the Italia tasted like it was sold at a gas station.Curly J;698527 wrote:Come on 'O'. I really like the Italia, more than the Brazilia. The Americana was okay for me, but just to light. It's a nice looking cigar, but doesn't follow up with flavor.
Try the Perdomo Lot 23. Delicious.Curly J;698527 wrote:Perdomo, I've only had their Grand Cru and it was awesome. I've been hit-and-miss with Cohibas. The tubos seems to hold an even burn better for me.
And if you like Rocky, but you haven't yet, try the Decade. Or if you're into the super robust, go with the 'Fusion MM'. Thing is as black as night, and you'll cough for days.

Went out tonight and got a few more for my stash. Eight more CAOs and a couple of Rocky 1992. I did drop $15.00 on a tubed Cohiba Toro and I bought a cheaper Cohiba Corona. The Toro will have to wait to be enjoyed until its nicer outside.

Worth the wait.

Gotta ETB this.
Having a Cohiba Corona, I think that's what it is. Along with Penfolds Club Port. It's going good so far. The Cohiba is keeping its shape. Maybe the last times I had the Red Dot were on the links and they burned uneven due to riding in the cart.

Ahhhhh ... that sounds delicious.
Not for breakfast, of course, but damn if that doesn't resonate with me.
