Economic team bailing out …

With the on going departure of the Council of Economic top personal, Peter Orszag and the chief of the Council of Economic Advisers, Christina Romer and now Lawrence Summers, director of the National Economic Council make you wonder.
My personal opinion is they are saving their asses, taking the quickest road out of the Obama agenda and protecting their careers. They see the hand writing on the wall of the Obama Economic Failure and the lingering effect on America future. When will many of you Democrat Liberal Socialist Obama Nose Ring Supporter wake up…. These ass holes are running for cover ……….. They are going back to their careers in hope people will forget them and the failure they supported.

Nope. That is not the reason. Go back and look over every modern administration. At this point, 18-24 months into an administration, people are burned out, and resign and are replaced. Life in the West Wing is literally 18 hour days, 6 or 7 days a week. And by 18 months, even smart people are mentally spent.
It happened to Bush, Clinton, Bush, and Reagan.

Nothing new.
I expect more in the coming months as well.
Rarely do officials stay on the whole term.

I'm going to agree with you in principle, however Belly is right about the entire economic advisory team leaving within a few weeks of one another. They are indeed running for cover and trying to maintain some sort of viability as this economy is failing and they are the ones that drew up the plans. I was always surprised by the Romer selection as she is not Keynesian-bred, like the rest of them. The real story now is what changes will the new advisors suggest and draw up....more spending into oblivion or will common sense finally kick in with this bunch.

Belly,

Please don't read any more into this than what it is. If these folks were bailing out they would be gone TODAY. They've given notice. Bailers don't do that, they cut and run.

True, but they do not want to make Obama look bad if they can help it. Remember, they're leaving to save their own skin and their own futures, so they'll play nicey-nice with the administration. After all....who will write their reference letters?

Agreed...it is commonplace. That being said, I find the fact that they're all on the same team to be significant. Usually the departees are peppered around various areas.

Holy crap! I'm not normally a fan of "unnamed sources" pieces, but even if half the stuff in this series is true, there's a shitstorm coming.

If the Public Servant Obama does not take the jobs serious and dedicated to the Office of President responsibilities why honor the individual with the title of President?
NOT MY PRESIDENT … Real President take the future of America serious … community organizer quit and ride out the tenure

The insider forgot to mention BHO's daily prayers to Allah and his study groups over the Communist Manifesto.

True. Which in my opinion tends to add to his/her credibility.

"Not my president". Hilarious, so apparently Belly isn't a US citizen.

Interesting article, but ....

I can see alot of the examples happening to every single President. If a Prez gets a free minute, of course he would want to talk off-topic and not politics.
I can see every single Prez throwing tantrums of some sort at least once.
I can see every single Prez being lazy here and there.
To me, there's nothing "telling" or unusual going on as far as those ^^^ scenarios are concerned.

What I did find interesting and "telling" were these quotes:
Obama is scared to death of Hillary. He doesn’t trust her – obsesses over her almost as much as he does Fox News. He respects her though, which might be why he fears her so much as well. He talks the game, but when it comes down to it, she has played the game on a far tougher level than he has, and Obama knows that.
And Bill Clinton loved the politics of being president. Obama seems to think he shouldn’t have to be bothered
As a president, Obama has many flaws, but as a candidate, he is near flawless.
I actually hope he doesn’t run again. Looking back, as much fun as the campaign in 2008 was, Hillary Clinton should have been the nominee. Hillary was ready to be president. Obama was not ready.

Yes Belly, whether you like it or not,he is your President, and there is nothing you can do about it.

So who is your President Belly??

Pelosi??
Biden??
Reid??
Emanuel??

I think that thing is about 95% percent made up. Just read some of the answers.....sure doesn't sound like a White House insider talking to me

Also, reading other articles on that site, you can tell that :

1.Most of their stuff is made up

2.They are a Republican leaning site

You don't say. What does a real "white house insider" talk like?

1. How do you tell that?

2. Meaningless, unless you can provide proof that they "make stuff up."

Except for the part about the "insider" predicting Summers departure well before the fact. ;)

Not to mention there were at least 2 dems this week calling for Nancy to step down, as he predicted.

I think it's painfully obvious that this guy is who he says he is. The only ding on him is the potential "disgruntled employee" angle, as he apparently no longer works at the WH.

I didn't see anything in the article about either of them. (I reread it and then searched for their names, but couldn't find it.)

Umm, he is seeking to run for Mayor in Chicago. Kind of hard to be Chief of Staff and try and run for mayor....

That said, good riddance.

But, news around DC is that Summers has talked about leaving for about a year, so the announcement did not shock anyone really.
