That was one of the best dunks I have ever seen in a game. Not to mention he got slapped across the head.

The way he clutched it back and brought it back with one hand was absurd.

Yeah it was sweet. I like his posterize dunks better though.

Cavs win 98-88, Coach K doing the best with what he has out there without Rip and Prince playing, I think he will do a good job once he has a healthy team and maybe a couple key trades

Yea, that dunk was great, minus the fact he took 3 steps and traveled so the foul across the head wouldn't have mattered. He also traveled down on baseline even after he had control, took about 4 steps. The more and more I watch him, the more I don't like him. People used to complain about the Pistons arguing calls but if anything, and I mean anything goes against Lebron he whines. Amazing athlete and great player but he whines a ton.

If I was the Cavs, I would not be too happy with this game at all. Pistons were without Rip, Tayshaun, and Gordon missed the whole second half (after stepping on Lebron's foot, another reason not to like him ) and still had a great chance in the second half. Granted the Cavs did not have Shaq, but game was close late. I thought Lebron settled for too many jumpers in the second half, did make a few but also took some bad ones when he had been having success driving to the basket. Jerebko actually did a pretty decent job at making him take tough shots but the guy just made em so you tip your hat. Being without their 3 best players was just too much for the Pistons but if they could ever get healthy (haven't been since 1st game of the year), they will be fine down the road.

Tiger - Pistons aren't going to be trading anyone. Everyone assumes Rip is going but it just won't happen unless they are in the hunt for a good playoff spot and they get a very good post player. Same goes for Tayshaun.

lol, knight... As a Cavs fan, I'm more than pleased with this game. Don't be fooled by the fools gold that Detroit made a little push. The Cavs have had a problem with falling a sleep at the wheel, so this is nothing new recently...

The fact is, it was a 10 point win on the road against a pretty solid team. I'll take that every night.

Also, the hate you have for LeBron is hilarious. It just shows how much he has owned Detroit since 2007. I guess winning 8 out of the last 9 in the Palace will do that to you.

It has nothing to do with him playing well against the Pistons. It has to do with the fact that he spent a whole year last year leading people on about leaving Cleveland, is so full of himself, gave a BS reason for not shaking hands with the Magic last year, and his feeling that he is entitled to every call in a game because he is Lebron James. He is not bigger than the game of basketball and if he didn't act like an ass most of the time, I wouldn't have as much of a problem with him. He is a great player but it's how he handles himself that makes me dislike him.

And a 10 point win which came on late free throws against a team missing its 3 best players should not be too reassuring.

lol, yes Knight, because the Cavs didn't "let" the Pistons back into the game after holding a 20 point lead. Face it, the Pistons are nothing more than a 7th or 6th seed at best. Stop acting like they're much more than that. I like their team, but it's still VERY thin in terms of legit talent. Sorry.

The Cavs are fine, obviously, at 11-4 and only .5 game behind the #1 record in all of basketball I believe? It may be a full game, but the point remains.

Also, I don't recall LeBron ever leading the media into thinking he was leaving? He may have had some fun with it, but everytime he said something it had to do with how he "loved Ohio" and "couldn't see himself playing anywhere else"...

LeBron is a class act. Not only does he go out of his way to mentor younger players after every game, but he's NEVER had any kind of off the court problems. If not shaking hands after a game is the worst you got, the dude must not have much to hate on.

Lastly, LeBron has every right to complain. He gets hit almost every time he goes to the basket, however, NEVER gets the consistent calls. This is a guy who should be going to the line 13-15 times a game, and on most nights, he may be lucky to get 10. I don't know how many times LeBron gets hit with no call. It always seems to come across his head too, which is obviously something that needs to be called...

I would agree that the Pistons are a couple of years (at least) from being a legitimate NBA Finals contender. we still have no real inside guy that can just clog the middle and score down inside. We also were set back several years by the damage done with the Billups trade. Not so much to the physical side, because AI is a great player, but Detroit never won consistently before they adopted the Chuck Daley philosophy of team ball and brutal man to man "d". Getting rid of Chauncey took the heart out of the Pistons and they lost their way. They're going to be alright eventually but Detroit fans may never see that great team ball again. Also, age and injuries have taken their toll. I will always be a Piston's fan but it's the Cav's time to make their run and I wish them well. LeBron is what you say he is. Definitely a class act who does get beaten up when he takes it to the hole, but in the NBA if there is no serious loss of blood and the EMS guys aren't called, you just aren't going to get many of those calls. I think LeBron will stay in Ohio. I certainly hope he does and I hope he gets to celebrate at the end of this current season with a dramatic victory over the Lakers in the finals, although I have already put a thread up about who will the Lakers beat in the finals. I'd like nothing better than to see the Cavs make me a liar. I'll be rooting very hard for that.

I love that all anyone can come up with is him not shaking hands after one game....wouldn't really call that him acting like an ass "most of the time". There is a reason most players in the NBA picked him when asked who they would like to have as a teammate. He is an amazing athlete, basketball player and above all else a great guy and role model.
