From the league, no. Unless he has broken the substance abuse policy already and we hadn't heard about it. A first offense will result in a fine of one half of a game check.

The Jets might "suspend" him but that would give them a disadvantage with Santonio still serving his four games. Their remaining receiving corps is Cotchery, Brad Smith and David Clowney. I love Cotchery but that's a weak corps to throw out there for a game or two. At least they have Keller at TE, I guess.

He's not a white qb from a team that all the owners are jealous of. No league suspension. The team itself should do something though.

First offense of the substance abuse policy = no suspension.

Second offense of the personal conduct policy = suspension.

Pretty simple stuff.

No arrests No charges filed 4 game suspension. Explain that one justin. Sooner or later someone will agree with me on why Ben was suspended.

You don't have to be charged with a crime to violate the NFL personal conduct policy.

Where's Bensons suspension?
Where's Vince Youngs suspension? Shall I go on?

Did they have two strikes?

You seem to have left out Adam Jones, Tank Johnson, Chris Henry and Michael Vick. How convenient.

Well....you knew the blame game was coming. Whether true or false, there is a thread running over on the OBR stating that Cleveland radio this morning said that ScissorHands is blaming this on the Cleveland fans because he's been "distraught due to Cleveland fans which has lead him to drinking and driving."

lol Can't help but laugh at that.

Also they just said on ESPN that the Jets and most other teams have a program in place for situations like this. Can't remember the name exactly, but basically a player can call up someone to come and pick them up and drive them wherever and it remains anonymous. The Jets have it and they said that their owner picks up the tab on it. This is 100% on Braylon for being a dumbass.

You do not have to be charged in order to violate the NFL personal conduct policy. Ben wasn't charged criminally but he violated the policy twice whether or not you agree with it.

Does the fact that he beat up a guy in Lebrons crew count towards personal conduct? If so does the substance abuse count separate or do they count together?

Edwards is known for being a cheapskate. Probably wanted to save a buck..

Edit: just saw the part about the owner picking up the tab. In that case...double dumbass!
