Then why are you worried about security? Steubenville is a safe place . If you are scared to come to Steubenville for a high school football game ,god help you if you go to Hienz field or to a Pens game .

I got you I think our people should be accomidating A whole lot of people in wheel chairs and walkers and cains use our handicap areas. You bring up very good point . Call the school in the morning and find out the details . Not sure if our AD has say over this issue or not . You guys need taken care of for sure . If worse come to worse is the lot right across the school too far for you to walk ? I really hope the TV guys and what not dont need all those spaces .FairwoodKing;490274 wrote:I hope I don't have the same problem from the same people who hassled me at the Wolvarena. The parking lot was reserved for their VIP cars. Even though I have a handicapped license plate, they wouldn't let me use a spot until I showed them my cane and convinced them that I'm not faking. I'm not sure what they did was legal. There is no way I can walk from the Kroger parking lot, so I will need a handicapped spot.

That might be tough on the handicap people. I wonder if people with disabilities can be dropped off at the gate and picked up at the gate? It is not to late for the school officials to figure this out and accomidate these people. Who is resposible? Fred H ?

Just a suggestion ... get a bunch of golf carts and transport the handicapped from wherever they end up parking.

I was thinking something like that . We need to take care of these loyal people . We get a bunch of them at all the games . You would be supprised. plus if out of towners need special attention Id make sure they got it. This needs to be addressed for sure .LocoEngineer66;490365 wrote:Just a suggestion ... get a bunch of golf carts and transport the handicapped from wherever they end up parking.

According to the stadium supervisor, handicap parking will be allowed.

????? We have a nice bowling alley and plenty of laundromats. I would say alot of those little casinos would be losing business but then its not beginning of the month

Come on Thinthickbigred you know the ONLY official rally (11x3) he attends is at 12 midnight. He was just trying to slander the city. Only reason for his post. Worry about Cleveland.

Curious to how full the parking will be. The Brook game, they parked behind my store. I have never seen that happen before. They lost 120 spots because of the Krogers gas station coming in.

Do they still have parking across the street from the school?

Yes they do have parking lots across from the school . I think CCHS band has parking at a doctors office about 20 yards down from that lot as well . If you arrive a little lateer because your team start at 3 you can always go down into the plaza although you may have to park further away because of the huge crowd expected. Some church lots also may have parking that are right by the stadium .

Walgreens is being built across the street from the Middle School, so there is no parking there.

I actually think parking will be a real treat to find. There are a few small lots across the street, but most of that will be covered by the tailgaters. Best bet is to park down by Krogers or farther down. If ya get there early for the BR game parking should be (Maybe) OK, but coming later , then it will be a problem. I have talked to everyone at BR and they say the same thing. Just don't forget when you give them your ticket to get an armband, or you will not be allowed to go in and out of the stadium . ( even though you have a ticket stub). REMEMBER........Steubenville is NOT putting on this rally, someone else is. that goes for the parking, tshirts for sale, and programs. they are even in charge of the jumbo tron. I am glad they are letting us open our concession stands. Not sure if the football moms stand are even allowed to be open for the games yet.
tickets are still available, remember they are 10.00 at the ticket office no student tickets........ and 15.00 at the gate.

You can park on Mcdowell avenue and walk . You can park in Mannhatten neighborhoods and walk. You can park over by the old Lancelots and walk. What is the procedure if you go into Bob Evans or Pizza hut before the game and eat ? What can they do if you walk from the game andleave your car in their lot . You can even go up by Linduff park and walk . You can park on Ridge ave and walk If you from out of town you can meet at Twines on University and then car pool up to the stadium . For that matter you could even walk from their if you dont mind. You can park on Pennsylvania ave and walk . Just dont block a driveway and your cool . You can go down by the Dentist office on University and walk they have a big lot and its just over the hill from the bank building . . You may be able to park in the bank lot . they wont be open . right next to pizza hut . I used to park up on Mcdowel and make the 5 min walk and never worry about traffic at all .
