Firestone- Div. II Reg. 5
Massillon- Div. I Reg. 2

Firestone is 2-2 on the year. They have beaten Northwest (1-3) 44-19, and Kenmore (1-3) 72-0. They have lost to, Twinsburg (4-0) 7-31 and Roosevelt (3-1) 23-38.
Massillon is now 3-1 on the year. After their week one loss to Buchtel (2-2) 13-29, they have gone on to beat GlenOak (3-1) 28-27 at GlenOak, Stow (1-3) 27-10 and Mentor (1-3) 26-21in Mentor.

Firestone is 1-2 in away games. And 1-0 at home, as week 4 was their first home game, where they beat Kenmore.
Massillon is 1-1 at Home, and 2-0 on the road.

Firestone has outscored its opponents 146-88
Massillon has outscored our opponents 94-77

This is only the second time these two teams have met. Last year Massillon won 42-21.

If Massillon overlooks Firestone they will lose. I expect the Paper Tigers to be ready. Firestone has a very powerful ground attack and very good overall team speed. Buchtel has better overall team speed, but Firestone has some quick skill players and they are much bigger than the Griffs. It should be a good game. I'll take Massillon by 10.

I saw Bucktel play against Pitts CC and they are a pretty good team just had a terrible quarter in that game with 2 blocked punts played with that team pretty even . I knew Massillon would come around . should be a good one when Steubenville comes to town . Are you ready for the city of Steubenville to show up

If ANYBODY associated with the Massillon program looks at this game as a sure win, this prediction is probably going to be right on.

Not knowing much about Firestone, I have to ask, do they have a passing game to compliment the running game, or can Massillon put 8 guys in the box to stop the Grice kid? I also understand that Firestone also has another RB that is pretty good.

TAKE THIS GAME SERIOUSLY TIGERS....AND FANS....or friday night at around ten, you are all going to be VERY disappointed.

Go get win # 800 Tigers.

They can pass a little. Grice is a load ala Beanie Wells (not as fast, but IMHO he is a tougher runner). Their other RB is small, but very fast. They have turned the ball over a lot (mostly fumbles I believe) in their losses. If the Falcons limit their turnovers this will be a close game.

After a little research, it is obvious that there is no way the Tigers can win this game.

These are all wonderful stats, coyotes0, but the only stat that is going to matter is:
skank and coyotes cries 2 times after home games

why do you keep bringing up Buchtel? It's over, week one, it's done!! Move on, mASSillon got their butts kicked by a Div. III school, who has done jackcrap since. mASSillon will be lucky to finish .500 this year.
Third, mASSillon finds themselves looking at 3-2 after this weekend.

they do throw the ball . it limited but usually sucessful. #4 is a better back than grice in my opinion. tommy brown is lazy. firestones d backs will match up with size and speed with massillons recievers. this will be a ball game. thats why i picked firestone 28-14. firestones kicker is a girl and she is dang good

The key will be turnovers. Firestone has turned the ball over 3 times for scores including 2 against Kent that destroyed any chance they had in that game. A total of 5 turnovers in that game made a 28pt swing for Kent. #4 is Darren McGinnis. He plays alot of defense for the Falcons at what appears to be a hybrid saftey/linebacker position and splits time with Grice. If the Falcons don't turn the ball over, they will put up points. Their Defense is aggresive and hard hitting but will give up the big play on occasion. I have seen the Falcons 3 times this year.

I brought Buchtel up because I saw them play and they will win 7 games and get into playoffs . Id bet Bucktel would beat NCH this year. Massillon will be 5-1 going into the Steubenville game then after that game they only go at Warren Harding and play the Phily team and McK at home 7-3 is reasonable for them . They can win any of the remaining games but can also at worst be 5-5 at the end . Steuby game will be like a playoff game and so will the remaining games . Dont underestiamt them .

Buchtel will probably lose to Toledo Central Catholic and they could lose to Firestone. I don't think that the Griffs will make the playoffs at 7-3 unless 1 of those "W's" is over Toledo Central Catholic.

If Firestone holds onto the ball they will give the Paper Tigers a real fight. The game is a toss-up if Firestone controls the tempo of the game.

Now having looked at Buchtel schedule 7-3 they are definitly in . Massillon is a ton of points and all the city teams are D-2 and play each other . Bucktel is a playoff team this year write it down. and maybe as high as 5 . if they upset TCC they will host no doubt

cuz Hoover pees down their leg at the thought of playing Massillon. That's why they only play when they have to if Hoover is lucky enough to make it to the playoffs.
