Standings after post race inspection
UPDATE: NASCAR has issued penalties, suspensions and fines as a result of rules infractions discovered this week during post-race inspection at the NASCAR Research and Development Center following last Sunday's race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The #33 team was found to be in violation of Sections 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing); 12-4-J (any determination by NASCAR officials that the race equipment used in the event does not conform to NASCAR rules); and 20-3 (car body location specifications in reference to the certified chassis did not meet NASCAR-approved specifications) of the 2010 NASCAR Rule Book. As a result, crew chief Shane Wilson has been fined $150,000, suspended from the next six NASCAR Sprint Cup events, suspended from NASCAR until Nov. 3 and placed on probation until Dec. 31. Car chief Chad Haney has also been suspended from the next six NASCAR Sprint Cup events, suspended from NASCAR until Nov. 3 and placed on probation until Dec. 31. Driver Clint Bowyer and owner Richard Childress have been penalized with the loss of 150 championship driver and owner points, respectively. (NASCAR), the penalty drops Bowyer from 2nd in the driver point standings to 12th.

NASWWE strips Clint Bowyer of 150 points to drop him from second to 12th in standings due to him not being the sort of big name racer that advertisers and fans are infatuated with like Stewart, Busch, Johnson, Gordon, etc.

Some of the greatest drivers who have ever driven these race cars I was fortunate enough to be able to race with and learn from. They taught me a lot.

Looks like we got us a good feud for the Chase. Hamlin vs RCR. Hamlin runs his mouth about Bowyer/RCR, so during practice today, Harvick wrecks Hamlin during the final practice and sends them both to the garage. They just so happened to be parked beside each other in the garage, and some words were exchanged afterwards. Might finally add some excitement back to the race tomorrow.

Didn't see it how bad was it? Will Hamlin have to go to a backup car? He was slated to start 4th.

JJ wins the race...of course...jumps to 2nd in points...35 behind Hamlin. RCR sure didn't fair to well today, other than Burton! Hamlin's gotta be smiling about that one!
LOL....you know Hamlin is smiling......Very happy about the 9th place finish....Denny always struggles at Dover.....
Got to like Hamlin's chances next week at Kansas to turn in a top 5 or 10 finish. Last year after starting 22nd he finished 5th.

I thought the same thing..until the Chase started. Now we are at Johnsons tracks..and..of course..he took the points lead today.
