What about a dump? You just drop trow and let it fly?

Over my summers in college, I climbed power plants to do emissions testing. It's a little crazy to climb hundreds of feet up a straight ladder with a stack swaying hard in the wind, and then sitting up on a 2-ft wide metal grating with a flimsy handrail to hold you in. At first I was terrified--it's scary to drop something and watch it fall hundreds of feet to the ground below. But after awhile, you adjust and lose the fear of heights. Humans can get used to just about anything, given enough time.

Well, that's true. We had some guys who would start climbing, and then give up, go back to the ground, and quit. That was definitely a tiny minority, though.

When I was in high school a few of us tried to climb a 500 foot radio tower or what ever it was. We made it about halfway up and it started swaying it was enough to make us all climb back down. hell we might not of been half way lol. it was pretty scary with the swaying of it.

Absolutely no way I would even attempt to try that.
I think it would be even worse for me climbing down. There's been times I have climbed up onto the roof of my house and kinda freaked out trying to get down the ladder.

Friend I went to high school with climbs cell phone towers for a living and one of the hazards he deals with is the electromagnetic radiation involved with the job. He got fried once and was just dipshit stupid for a week.
There are a few articles out there regarding the problem but I can see it being more of an issue in the future.

I'm guessing this has something to do with why they don't just jump off of the tower. Just a guess, really.

Havea buddy that does this they would travel around Indiana and Ohio and Michigan and climb cell towers. He would climb one and his buddy would climb another a few miles away and they would shine a light at each other and take readings. I won't get into it but he said it was crazy and yet he stil does it. He's actually in Maryland right now and is due back Sept 22, hes a good friend of mine and we keep in contact regularly.
