hahahaha it only took you a month! Have you rebooted your laptop? And is wireless enabled on it?

Ok, got it so that my computer recognizes my network in the wireless connections box, but now when I try to connect to it, it acts like it is going to for a long time before it finally comes up and says "wireless connection waiting for network" and doesn't connect

It is just in the other room. It says connection is "excellent" however once I try and put my WEP code it acts like it is going to connect and then nothing happens

hmmm I would shut down laptop, unplug power from router, wait a minute, plug it back in and then restart laptop. See if that resets it. Sometimes I'll lose wireless connection to either laptop or PS3 and all I have to do is reset the router.

I just bought a new router the other day.. They really made it so a monkey could do it now.

All I had to do was pop in the CD and plug in the router and everything else was done automatically.

FWIW: You have to reset the cable modem/router/computers when you introduce new hardware to the cable modem.

That's why they "halted" your service.

I have had issues with Cisco products and Windows Vista before (Vista sucks ass) Other than that very easy to do. The only thing is, Wireless is not the way to go for gaming IMO.

If I was still in college, that might have bothered me, but I hardly ever get a chance to play anymore

Hardly playing and having it never work is completely different lol. you got to have very high upload speed and download speed if your going to play wireless. go to testmyspeed.net so see where your at.

Very high? No.

Most home connections will suffice.

Wireless is perfectly fine for gaming as long as you have your shit set up right.

Even basic routers have speeds of 54mbps which is much faster than any of our internet speeds and certainly plenty to play an online game lag free. The problem in the majority of cases where people have trouble with games on wifi is either the settings (open ports,DMZs, etc) not being correct or their internet service itself not being that fast.
