Again I said nothing about any incident other than the Price ejection. I was at another game and know nothing of what went on other than what I am watching on replay with a single camera high above Follis Field. The game does look like it got a little chippy at times. But it is a backyard rivalry in the OCC.

The issue with the Wooster coach is his arrogance. How do you not respect the OCC champs 3 of the last 4 years when they come to town? The Wooster players follow his mantra with inflated egos. No doubt Ashland has some swagga of its own. Playing cover zero with no safety in the middle is arrogance especially with a team that runs the spread with an Ivy League quarterback, Marcus Fuller and skill around him. The defense was down tonight and missed alot of tackles. They are down three players and banged up from playing a much tougher schedule than Wooster weeks 2 and 3. I was sad to see Duke Price ejected from the game. Ashland seniors have a lot of respect for Duke since battling with him since 7th grade.

I admitted that Ashland was the better team from the first post, and they still are today. I was proud of the way the Generals battled back and gave themselves a shot to win this one in the 4th quarter. I think we can all agree that this officiating crew shouldn't be able to call another varsity game for a long time. I guess you'll have things happen in a heated rivalry, but Duke's ejection was total BS. Also, as far as McCreary having a huge ego...I have no idea why he would, we haven't won anything for 6 years or so now and he allows his brother (the defensive coordinator) to run a defense with no safety help at all against 5 wides? What in sam hell was that? Ashland is going to win a bunch of games, but I also feel better about this year's Wooster team than I did heading into last night.

I've been to quite a few Wooster games since I've moved here several years ago. Mostly I go back to where I grew up on Friday nights to watch games.

Anyhow. The games I've watched I was absolutely appalled by the techniques being taught in the secondary at the D2 level. To me, it looks like there is absolutely no time being spent teaching these kids how to cover WR's. Kids standing stationary in the secondary letting WRs run by them and then backpedaling to catch up to a WR. That's not a kid's fault that's poor coaching. That, and the fact when you go watch a game in Wooster everybody around you in the stands is talking about anybody and everything except what is going on the field. I thought I was in a beauty salon. I hate that. Then everybody gets up and leaves after the band plays. If you did that back home you'd be ridiculed beyond belief. Just not a football town. I'll probably have to move if I have kids. lol

I heard last night from some Ashland fans that they were missing 5 defensive starters due to a physical/dirty Marion Franklin game. Is that true? Either way, congrats to Wooster for making it a game!

Marion Franklin was a tough physical game but not a dirty game. The Wooster game was significantly dirtier than the Franklin game. Ashland was missing two significant players on defense and one player played at less than 100 percent. Ashland and Marion Franklin quickly developed a respect for each other during their first game and hope to meet again this year. There is less respect for Ashland from area teams.

Your post is right on target. MF is physically aggresive and quick, but not dirty. I would love a second shot at them. As for the Generals, arrogance is no substitute for talent.

With the way the Wooster players conducted themselves, they have lost all and any respect from Ashland.

Heard from a very reliable inside source today that Wooster will appeal the Price suspension.

As they should. The way the Arrow defense looked, Price could've probably gone for 10+ catches and 150 yards and a couple of scores. May have been the difference maker.

Wooster should worry about their own defense... ha. Fuller and company could have scored on them all day. Ashland's D made plays when they needed too and the better team won. They played five sophomores! It gets old when the loser of a game whines. Ashland's loss to Marion-Franklin with dropped balls and turnovers hurt but thank goodness no one is whining about it.

Exactly. Wooster stop whining already! We won, you lost. End of story. Time to move on.

Number 1 for Wooster is the dirtiest player in the OCC. Maybe he will be the next Wooster player ejected.

Looks like Wooster has filed the appeal with the OHSAA and there were two video recordings from the Wooster sideline of the play that clearly show what Bixler said to Price. You can clearly hear what is said on both tapes and they have been sent to the OHSAA for the appeal. Once again Duke did not throw a punch or anything in response to what he was called, he just pushed Bixler away. Will be interesting to see how the OHSAA rules on this one and if the true sportsmanship of Ashland comes back to haunt them as well as if any suspensions are handed down for them. Stay tuned...

Saw Duke last evening at Young Life banquet. Great kid. Hope people do the right thing here. I am not "in the know" as to the situation for I did not witness it. I would love to see those tape clips. For once maybe the instigator will actually get in trouble?

I have never changed my story. I have seen the film, have you? He punched Wolfe not Bixler. I don't really care one way or the other. I am not the official that called the game. I have no responsibility or liability however, I don't think that you are the commissioner or that your word should be regarded as the gospel. Officials make calls in games and often I do not agree with them. Can we have the pass interference call back??? My problem is with number ONE not Duke and really not even you until now.

I'm confused, I thought that you were at another game? You do realize that for every grab you mention, we have a grab etc. There are two distinctive sides to this story and the story gets bigger and uglier just like the fish that I caught last week...... you should have seen it.
