The advice he asked for was on buying his first house. He didn't specify buying a house with the intent of selling it. He asked for advice and both FFT and myself offered the following; don't by your home as an investment. Resale potential becomes irrelevant then does it not?

You think I don't care what things cost???? Boy do you not know me very well.

I'm not sure it's any more annoying than your insistence on responding to such occurrences.

I don't think you do get it. The advice I would give him is to not buy a "starter home" . Save up as much money as he can and pay for as much of his home as possible not looking to have the home as an investment. If he wants real estate as an investment that's great...buy another piece of property.

This isn't some great insight privy to only a few. There should be a difference between an investment and your home. We get into trouble when we mix the two.
