This game will probably over at halftime, OSU looked pretty good for the most part against Miami. Special teams are lacking this year, but who needs that shit when you have such a good defense?!!

Will get ugly fast unfortunately. Bobcats will hang tough for a quarter based on adrenaline and then the Buckeye D will cruise. Look for Pryor to play only 3 quarters. Tressel Ball will be in play since Tress won't want to humiliate his Ohio cousins too badly.

You can beat a 2nd-10 level team without "that shit", but not a top-5.

This game and next week's game will be good opportunities for the Buckeyes to work on the special teams. They are terrible and need a lot of work if they want to compete for a national title. They overpursue way too often.
As for the outcome of this game, barring any major injuries, it should be a walk in the park for the Buckeyes. 41-10 (late td against 2nd string)

As much as I would love this to be like 2008 where we had OSU fans hyperventilating entering the 4th quarter because we had been winning all game, I just don't see it this year. Boo Jackson will turn it over eleventy billion times against that defense (he turns it over a shitload against any defense), and our O-line has been suspect so it could be bad. I could see us not sniffing the end zone (at least we have a good kicker).
What's really sad is while this will be lopsided, OSU's next opponent in Eastern Michigan is leaps and bounds worse than OU. OU looks a little shaky thus far but they are a decent team (though OSU is fucking loaded this year so it won't matter), should finish in the top half of the MAC (predicted 2nd in the East). EMU is basically a consensus pick for worst team in 1-A football in the preseason rankings. Most people had them ranked dead last, highest I saw was 117 out of 120.

Time to work on special teams.
Hopefully, a lot of kickoff coverages and even punt coverages are used.
I expect a final of something like 42-7.

Be nice to get out early and work on some things as the game goes on play a few more players and such.
Going to be a whooping saying 48-9 Bucks.

OU seems like they aren't as good as they have been the past year or two. I expect a woodshed beatdown.

there were starters missing tackles yesterday. People are startng to suspect that it is their coverage scheme that isn;t working, not the players

31- 6 OSU
That will be on 2 touchdowns and 6 FG's
Field Goal University at its best!

Bucks need to show up with a workmanlike attitude, both this week and next and keep their focus on one game at a time.

Not that I disagree with your assessment, but on the punt return for TD in the Miami game they just overpursued.LJ;481608 wrote:there were starters missing tackles yesterday. People are startng to suspect that it is their coverage scheme that isn;t working, not the players

Tressel will never put up that many on a team.

There were 2 missed tackles as soon as he caught the ball.
Also on the kickoff, there was a clear block in the back not called

Because they overpursued, they missed the tackle.Pick6;481981 wrote:There were 2 missed tackles as soon as he caught the ball.
Yeah I saw that too from the stands, can't believe the refs didn't. But we still have problems with our ST coverage.Pick6;481981 wrote:Also on the kickoff, there was a clear block in the back not called

Tressel also has a vagina. Is he worried about the year OU is better than OSU? Beat the hell out of them. Make them know they didn't go to the best school in the state.

Definitely agree...well problems in just about every aspect of special teams. I would like to see us have some type of pass rush on D as welldwccrew;481986 wrote:Because they overpursued, they missed the tackle.

I thought we had a pretty good pass rush. There was a lot of pressure on Harris.
