Denard is better than Tate, but that is all you can say. They haven't played a D that can really give you a read on how good they are.

Denard is far better than tate and we brought back our best Wr's from last year along with our best offensive lineman(Molk) and a stable of running backs. How would the offense not be better?

Although they had a 'top' offense last year, they finished 1-7 in the Big 10. Without defensive improvement they can improve upon last year's record by maybe 2 games.

Who said it is worse? I am not convinced that this offense alone can beat the likes of Penn State, Iowa, Wisky, MSU or OSU, all of whom have top defenses in the country

And aside from Ohio state, none of those teams you listed really have that great of offenses either

This.

The offense looks very good. But the offense alone will not make Michigan a contender and/or give Robinson the Heisman.

I'll take a win no matter what the score is. Why are so many OSU fans enthralled with Michigan?

Our game pretty much went as planned. Nothing to talk about.

Offense alone sure won it for Tebow with a mediocre defense and a decent record....

?? They have GREAT defenses that will slow UM down enough and UM's defense won't be able to stop their offenses. UM ends up 7-5

Your defense is in the bottom 15 in the country. Their defense was in the top 50 those years. HUGE difference

If you say so. Of all those teams you listed, only 1 is int he top 29 in terms of ppg defense in the nation

Not in points per game which is all that really matters, yards dont matter its what goes up on the scoreboard

It's very possible that Robinson is the real deal, however, I distinctly remember "Forcier for Heisman" talk at this time last year. Michigan fans won't know if Denard is the one or not, until he faces the Big 10 schedule. I would think UM fans would be very cautiously optimistic until Robinson proves he can do it against good teams. Like I said on the other thread, I want Robinson and UM to be good!

se, we all distinctly remember the "Pryor for Heisman" talk for the past 2+ years as well too don't we? It goes both ways. Fan bases and talking heads are going to get excited when players put up big numbers early. The Pryor talk started last year before he played a game and we all saw how that worked out. Let people talk how they want to talk.

Let's put some cash on it? see who is correct.

I remember before rich rod's first year i said he would go 3-9 and I was labeled a loon by the likes of you and the other UM fans. Who was right then?

The year Tebow won the Heisman with a 4 loss record was the worst record a Heisman winner had had in something like 20+ years. That was rare...but Tebow put up HUGE numbers that year. Robinson is obviously off to a great start. But he and UM will have to do this against much better defenses coming up for him to have a chance to win the Heisman with the talent around the country now. Tebow did't have the competition that Robinson will have. Still A LOT of football to be played.

I'm not sure what your point is. I was expressing my opinion on UM's QB situation. Terrelle Pryor has nothing to do with it.

He just wanted to get his normal off topic shot at OSU in. I am waiting for him to bring up Notre Dame now

I was talking about Heisman hype, it wasn't a shot at anyone. Christ OSU won by 90 today and you guys are still edgy.

Personally, I am glad to see UM at 3-0. Its better for the Big Ten, its better for OSU and its obviously better for the OSU/UM rivaly if they continue to do well. I still don't believe they are quite a top 25 team nor do I think Robinson will win the Heisman. But I don't blame UM fan excitement at all. Things obviously look up for UM right now.

I know what you were talking about, but my post didn't have anything to do w/ Heisman hype. It was about how UM fans should probably be cautiously optimistic after last year. The "Forcier for Heisman" was brought up to show how much of an overinflated confidence you can get from some good performances against mediocre teams.
