I could not find a topic on this great subject. Well the Nets are off to an awful start sitting at 0-14. It looks like they are playing their way out of the LBJ sweepstakes. I don't think the King is going to want to play with a team that can't win a game. So when do you think they will get their first win?

Next few games:

@Portland
@ Sacramento
@Lakers
Dallas
Charlotte

I will say they get their first win vs Charlotte.

I'm going to completely disregard the whole LBJ angle as it's dumb...

But I feel the Nets can steal one from the Kings in Sacramento.

getting the #1 pick would be more of an incentive for lebron to go there. They would probably let him make the pick if he goes there.

I think they will beat the Kings.

Remember, losing the most games in the NBA doesn't guarantee the #1 pick.

The real question is when does Frank get the axe? And does he actually get executed by the new Russian owner?

They'll have Devin Harris, Brook Lopez, a #1 pick, LeBron, and a mid level free agent who wants to play with LeBron. The Nets will go from a 15 win team to NBA Champions in one year.

To think that Harris, Lopez, James, a #1 pick and a mid level free agent is a better team than the Cavs right now is funny.

What NBA rookie comes in a makes that dramatic of an impact off the get go? Very few.

I don't care where LeBron goes, that team is a playoff team the minute he puts on the jersey

Agreed but none will be much better than what he has around him already.

Yeah that doesn't really say much that they're a playoff team. Of course any team LeBron's on is going to be in the playoffs, it's a matter of being able to win a championship.

Yup. I've said all along if it is about winning, he'd stay in Cleveland. If it is about money/being a global icon,star he'll go to LA or New York.

New Orleans fired their coach after a few games but yet Frank still has job after an 0-14 start, makes sense.

They might have a chance at the all-time worst season record. The four worst are:
76'ers 9-73 in 1972-1973
Mavs 11-71 in 1992-1993
Clippers 12-70 in 1986-1987
Nuggets 12-70 in 1997-1998

Not so fast^

Yes, they have started out terribly, but they also have had some injury problems. They'll win at least 17 games. :)

I don't know about that.

I would take Harris over Mo Williams and Lopez is better than any post player the Cavs have right now.

I'd probably take the Cavs overall still, but I'm not 100% positive. Courtney Lee is a decent player too.

And I'm not sure the #1 pick matters to the Nets since they have Harris, and John Wall is probably going to end up #1. I think Derrick Favors would be a great piece for them to go inside with Brook Lopez.

I wouldn't take Harris over Mo either. Harris is the go to guy and that's why his numbers are good when he is healthy. Lopez has great post potential and he's playing extremely well right now. Beyond Lopez, there isn't much more in New Jersey.

Well first off, they wouldn't have the #1 pick locked up, its a lottery the worst team doesn't always win.

Cleveland is deeper and more athletic than the Nets. I'd take Mo Williams over Harris because Harris needs the ball to create while Williams can spot up while others have the ball. Lopez is very good but he isn't anywhere being an star player. Just look what Howard did to him 1-12 for 4 points and 5 boards. He was manhandled that game, I think Howard and Shaq would continue to do the same thing against him.

I think Cleveland has an overall better roster and deeper, along with money to spend next summer. And don't forget that Cleveland has pieces once again to make a trade to teams like the Hornets or other franchise getting ready to explode.

It looks like that Sacramento game turned into another loss which has them at 0-16 with their next game being at the Lakers tomorrow night. The line on that game should have the Lakers at about a 25 point favorite

It would be pretty funny if the Nets somehow how would pull off the win @LA .. but it probably won't be very pretty though.. 0-17 sounds terrible
