That is all we will hear about now until the final whistle Saturday! Stop crying Canes, stop crying ESPN!! It was only a bad call because Dan Fouts in the booth and no one gave OSU a chance in hell and they threw egg all over your faces!! We should not forget Miami should have never had the opportunity to go to OT to begin with!!

Its funny ... I know I am biased, but that being said, I was at this game in Tempe, 30 yard line, lower part of the Upper Deck on the side of the field where the flag was thrown. Our entire row was yelling "holding!!!" that entire play, and when the flag was thrown, we didn't even realize the controversy until watching ESPN the next day. Granted, fireworks were going off and all that, but from a "birdseye view" the penalty was obvious.

Tangent: there were these bitchy Miami girls sitting in front of us, talking shit all game. They thought they won, they were hugging and crying ... then the flag came. Everyone was just ripping these skanks, it was quite comical. Then they shut their mouths after the Clarett TD, and limped out of the stadium in shame after the Dorsey final incompletion. Such bitches, can't even articulate how good that felt to see.

There were some guys on our flight home that were all decked out in scarlet and gray, but they had orange and green shoes. They were miami fans who were to afraid of the flight home so they bought all new clothes, but didn't get new shoes. Someone called them out on it and the entire flight was busting their balls. Lol

I think it's hilarious that they pretty much blame the demise of their program on that Ohio State victory! Also, I had forgotten how amazing the talent was on that Miami team. Unreal!

one of my favorite things about winning that game was shutting Brett Romberg's mouth--all he did was yap about the U showing OSU what a real football team was...his postgame silence was priceless !!!

Even despising OSU, and if they lost that game they cannot claim relevancy to this day..There is no way that isn't pass interference. The guy is practically raped while the ball is still in flight.

You can't rape the willing. Either way that was 8 years ago and will have no bearing on the outcome of the game, no matter how much ESPN tries.

Why in the world did they own orange and green shoes to begin with? That's embarrassing even if the Canes win the game.

Correct it will have no bearing on the outcome but it will be the storyline until the final whistle blows. Should VBookie how many times that play will be shown during that game!! Also how many times do you think ESPN will show Gamble's catch clearly inbounds that was ruled out of bounds setting up the punt at the end of regulation and send it to OT? NONE!!!!!

The "real" blown call was a small jersey tug that had no relevance to gamble running the rest of his route and ending up out of bounds on the catch?

What...?

The tug was enough to turn Gamble around on his route. As most OSU fans know, that was supposed to be a quick crossing route. When Gamble got grabbed by the jersey, he got turned around and was forced to change his route toward the sidelines which was not in his favor since he was lined up on the short side of the field to begin with. Obviously taking off for the sidelines didn't leave him with too much room to make the grab in bounds, which he nearly did anyways.

So I'd say that 'small tug' had some relevance to Gamble running the rest of his route and making the catch.

That was supposed to be a crossing route? Well maybe out of the huddle yes, but he didnt change his route bc of that tug, he was looking back at the qb who was scrambling...and you dont continue across the field if you see your qb scrambling bc hed have to throw across his body much further, so he planted his feet and made it an out route. That tug did not dictate what route he ran...you're kidding right?

Unless of course ud of prefered him to continue running across the field while krenzel rolled out and woudl of had to throw across his body into many more green jerseys

First of all, yes it was PI, although it was very weak. 9 times out of 10 its not called, but acting like it wasn't there is completely laughable. Over the course of the game, there are a lot of little penalties like that, some are called, some are not. The fact remains Ohio State is the 2002 National Champion, and no amount of Miami crying is ever going to change that, and you can take that to the bank.

As a former Buckeye who played in that game stated...IF Miami was as great and the better team....then they should have scored a TD from the 1 yd when given four tries to do so. It doesn't get much better then that.
On top of that, as many pictures have shown, there are NUMEROUS no calls in this game, mainly holding calls. On top of that, the call on Gamble being out of bounds while catching the pass easily in bounds, was the worst of all.

I heard Krenzel the other night say; its like the umpire who calls the corner in the bottom of the 9th that he wasn't calling all game, BUT Miami should have never got the ball back with 2:30 left in the game.

Sure ESPN is simply trying to drum up some interest/ratings for this game, but enough is enough already with the officiating.
