Cook made us look silly when the Rockies came to Cincinnati. Hopefully they can figure him out tonight.

According to twitter tonight is the 100th lineup used this season. That sounds high.

And Dusty answered my question....
"Stubbs is swinging a little better than Brandon right now," Baker said. "Hopefully Brandon in front of Joey will get some quality pitches to hit too. I'm going with the hot hand to try and ignite our engine. You got to have a key to every engine. These guys the last couple days - with Fowler and Young - you what speed at the top can do for you."

I don't think speed had much to do with it last night. The game was taken control of on the first three batters, single, single, and HR, and not on bad pitches either.

if Cueto mixes up his pitches at all to Young he gets him out....threw him 3 straight fastballs at 94 mph....who is calling that strategy? If a pitcher threw Phillips 3 94 mph fastballs in a row he'd be on base to start every game.

Stubbs is a solid leadoff hitter versus 1 team...the Cubs

Whenever Phillips goes to RF he'll be back at hitting what he wants to.

Votto protecting Phillips will only apply if Phillips swings at his pitches.....if he hacks at 2 of teh first 3 pitcher's pitch...it won't matter who is following him.

Wouldn't mind seeing an 0 for 4 out of CarGo tonight.

Yeah, I can understand why. Once the Braves have been eliminated from the playoffs the only thing you'll have to hang your hat on is Infante winning the batting title. :)

I'm not sure Bronson in Colorado is going to be tough on CarGo.

I predict a 450+ ft shot by Tulo

Bruce didn't look very good in batting practice. I think they are going to have to make a move on the 40 man roster to get an outfielder. What is the real story on how Bruce got hurt? Was it during the celebration of his walk off hit? Was it in batting practice the next night trying to hit a 550' shot?

Also, the Big O is 2-4 through 4 innings tonight as the Braves finally remembered to bring their bats to the park.

Votto is still at .321 so he isn't out of it either. He needs a couple 4-5s and he will be right there.
