LMFAO.......what about it? Way more impressive?......nuff said! You're a hater, you'll probably pick against ND just about every week.......that's how you operate.

@ Purdue...yes, you just can't deny it as a fact karen, try as you might.

and BTW, I'm not saying ND's defense isn't better, it certainly is, but shutting down Robinson's draws I won't consider an overly impressive achievement either. It will take more than that to make me buy.

Unless if it was the OSU defense.

Well I'm buying the FACT that ND's defense looked much better and for once, well coached.

Roy Roundtree is out for the ND game. Not what I wanted to hear.

As a fan you can't help it, I know. But I remember the game last year and how close it was and both thought better things were in store...we know how that turned out for both ;)

Same goes for UM as far as I'm concerned. "Robinson looks great!"...uh huh, against UCONN, at home. Both "appear" better after last week, both "appeared" better after 2 games last season too. I'll wait and see as an unbiased observer.

No one's making bold predictions for the season on either side, I don't know where you're pullling that garbage from. You're entitled to your opinion but if you didn't see a night and day difference in ND's defense, especially how prepared and well coached they were, then you're self labelled unbiased opinion isn't so unbiased.

Then make up your freaking mind! Are you John Kerry in disguise?

You say ND's defense is better yet you site the competition they just played.......that doesn't sound very "genuine" to me.

I think both teams looked pretty darn good on Saturday, especially with the pressure and expectations that was laid on them. I look for a tight, low scoring game with a couple of turnovers from both teams, and as I said earlier, ND winning with a field goal at the end...ND 24 tsun 21

I'm not sure why some ND fans are getting so sensitive about my pick of UM over ND. I don't think either team will blow the other out, it could go either way; I just was more impressed by UM's play last week than ND. I didn't say ND didn't play well, just that I was more impressed with UM.

That being said, why is it the only people in this thread bringing up OSU are ND fans? I haven't once seen any OSU fan mention OSU.

It is difficult to make a prediction on either team since only 1 game has been played so far and neither team has much to boast about from last season. I'll give the coaching edge to Notre Dame.

Killer Ewok- as some others mentioned, I was also flipping back and forth. I watched significant portions of both games, as Mulva stated, when action was more entertaining for either game.

Michigan looked sound all around, although they did get help from UConn's receivers dropping so many passes. UConn could not stop Robinson. If ND can stop Robinson, they can pull out a close win. If not, they lose a close one. Pretty simple. RR's offensive scheme is not hard to figure out and Brian Kelly is infinitely smarter in the game of football than I am. We'll see what happens this Saturday.

This. I didn't even realize the OSU game was at 3:30 until yesterday. I was looking forward to watching it. I think it will be a better game than Bama/PSU just because I think Bama is quite a bit better than Penn State is.

I need to sell my OSU ticket so I can watch both games. This is bullshit the Miami game isn't a night game or at 12:00! :(

because I think a lot of people see it as a close game. A lot of the money will be put on Michigan getting 5 points and it will eventually fall to get more even action.

If the injuries keep piling up for UM, they may be in for a long day against ND. Roundtree and now Johnson, not good news for UM. What are the injury reports for ND? Any key players?

The only two mentioned post game were Jamoris Slaughter, starting safety, who had a mild ankle sprain but is expected to be back to full speed at practice Wednesday and OLB Darius Fleming missed some time with leg cramps. There were also a couple guys who didn't dress that are expected to be back in action this week. I'm sure there are some guys with the usual post game knicks and what not but nothing to be concerned with.

If Johnson is out, I really hope we see Marvin Robinson start in the spinner position.

Redshirt freshman Thomas Gordon or sophomore Floyd Simmons will step in for Johnson if he can't play, Rodriguez said.

I think Calvin Mcgee will open up the playbook a little bit more this week and let Denard take some shots down field. As well as he played, Robinson still mis-read a few plays where he had guys open down middle of the field.

How did Michigan's D look? I know they were facing a completely different type of attack than ND will run, but overall did they play pretty solid? Before the season I thought this would be more of a shoot out, but I think ND will at least be able to slow down Michigan. I know Michigan is somewhat depleted in the secondary, but will their D-line be able to disrupt Crist as well as the running game without having to bring too many other bodies?
