Troy Smith getting cut is the best thing that could've happened to him. He was never going to get a shot in Baltimore and it's sad that his only shot was taken away by illness. I compare him to a Seneca Wallace type. Very solid backup who could be a starter on certain teams. He'll get picked up by somebody.

It's a really interesting situation. I always thought Baltimore was pretty high on him, but why cut a guy who really isn't getting paid much? Either he was causing problems off the field or he never really developed the way they hoped he would.

Either way, he'll get a shot somewhere. Wish he could have spent camp somewhere else though as to have gotten acclimated with a new team.

For all you Mooney/ND fans...Kyle McCarthy got cut by the Broncos. I knew he wouldn't start (or even be the backup) on defense. But I was hoping that he would have caught on playing special teams.

Best of luck to K-Mac in whatever is up next for him.

Cosby is too valuable on special teams and they must really think Simpson can play like Chris Henry did.

I honestly think Brown will not cut Simpson out of spite. They burned a high pick on him and he has never even come close to producing. Seems like Brown is bound and determined to prove he was right.

I had heard good things about Briscoe too. I would have liked to have seen him stick

No huge losses by the Steelers.

But I would say WR Tyler Grisham is somebody another team should look at

I think he could end up being a productive receiver

They just cut Chase Coffman who was a day 1 pick 2 years ago.

I love this move, get someone who may actually develop into a starter some day, not Leinart who will never be anything.

I don't like the cutting of Troy Smith. I mean I know he was leaning towards 3rd string behind Flacco and Bulger but what if they both happen to get hurt? It's highly unlikely but definitely possible.

Bengals have no fullbacks on the roster either? They cut Vakapuna and Skuta? I guess they are going to run out of a one back set this year?

Tony Richardson is available

The Ravens now have a very crowded WR corp. (Boldin, TJ, and Mason)

They do have a lot of weapons on paper now. Rice, those 3 WRs, Heap. If Flacco can have an above average year, that offense is going to put up some points.

Davis will be scooped up by someone. Does he still throw without the laces?

Nate Davis.....man I liked him......hope he gets a chance with someone

equally liked his college receiver Dante Love who didn't get a NFL chance for his neck injury

Catch and Release = the difference between a Tuesday and a Thursday!

Lots of rumors going around now. Let's see which one ends up being closest to the truth.
