agreed. Molding young men is more important than a football game. They'll bounce back.

Best guess 1 EC, 2 Clear Fork, 3 Orrville, 4 Genoa, 5 triway, 6 Edison, 7 OG 8 Huron w/ a win today.
That's just aa quick look at full value points without going into the divisors ( stupid divisors anyway :( )

riders1...heres what i figured. I think you're right on.

Elyria Cath - 12.266
Clear Fork - 12.05
Orrville - 11.9
Genoa - 10.63
Triway 8.2
Edison - 6.783
OG - 5.966

OG would be the scariest 7-8 seed ever. They are getting no help from their non-conf teams.

There's almost a 2.5 point gap between 4 and 5. The top 4 are establishing a nice cushion.

If Triway beats Manchester and Orrville beats Ashland...this region changes dramatically. Both are HUGE if's.

Genoa has a 1-5 team and an 0-6 team left. If Triway, Orrville and CF win their remaining big games...Genoa could finish 10-0 and not host a game......another unlikely scenario.

Big game for us against Manchester this coming week. Winning at Manchester is always a tough task, especially when they are as good as they are this yer. But our guys are up for it and could pull it out! If we win, RR1, you're right - It changes the region a lot!

Manchester is benefiting from secondary points from their win over Coshocton. Coshocton keeps winning and has moved from #7 to #4 in Division IV Region 15.

Wow, I didn't see all the other teams moving up ahead of OG, as Joe Eitel has them at # 11, with Bucyrus, Huron, Clearview, and Van Wert moving ahead of OG. Only Kenton won for them for 2nd level points.

OG's average actually went DOWN from last week. Obviously a loss sets that in motion...but they got no help from their 4 wins to make up any ground at all.

There's 8 teams within 1 point of each other for the 5-8 spots.

Gonna be quite a sprint to the finish line.

I think in the end, they'll still be in the top 8....but they really can't afford any more losses.

O-G still have 3 really tough games ahead of them though, and if they would lose just one they probably don't get in.
Bath 4-2
Van Wert 3-3 (have a brutal schedule)
Celina 5-1

Uh huh.....could be the same story for us.

We win this week and we're in (somewhere in the top 8). It may come down to having to beat Wooster for a home game.

It would be a shame if Orrville lost to two of Ashland, Clear Fork, and Wooster and missed the playoffs... or lost all 3 and missed the playoffs. Those are possibilities, and this very good team would miss out on the post-season. However, I see Orrville winning at least 1 of them and maybe 2. If they win all 3, they are the favorite to win the region... I think they win 1 or 2 of those 3 games and host a playoff game.

A lot of football to be played. I heard the whole Copley team is coming Friday since they play Thursday night. Ashland is in their region.

Here's my best guesses at scenarios

1. Win out...win region & host
2. Beat Ash & CF, lose to Mad or Woo...or both...I still think we host
3. Lose to Ash or CF....beat Mad & Woo - Likely host
4. Lose to Ash & CF...beat Mad & Woo - make top 8, don't host
5. Lose to Ash or CF....lose to Mad or Woo - make top 8, dont host
6. Lose remaining 4 games.....no playoffs....and with a 5-5 record...we wouldn't deserve it.

We win this week, we get in with 6 wins, regardless of the final 3 games....Fantastic50 has the cutoff in Reg 14 at 14.69 points, Orrville already has 11.9. A win over Ashland and lowballing them the rest of the way (i.e losing to Clear Fork, beating Madison & Lex) would give us 15.78 points (not counting any other potential points from Northwest, Triway, Lexington, Senior or WH).

I think the only way we don't make the top 8 is for us to lose out and finish 5-5.

Truthfully, I'd rather our backs be against the wall......we need to start playing like it matters....because it does.

Good news is we are sitting pretty good and we haven't really got the offense thing together....by week 11 our QB will have had 9 games under his belt against as good a competition as we will see......for a while anyway.

Good point 5knots, our offense has been pathetic this season and we are still 5-1. Idk how that happened but it is what it is. We know how good and dangerous we can be when we play up to our potential, its just playing consistent from here on out.

You know Coach Davault is all about going out every day and getting better. That is what we need to do. We have some very good measuring sticks coming up to go by.

You either get better or get worse every day in practice....we need everyone whether you are a scout team guy or starter getting better, making the guys around you better and executing their job to the best of their ability.

Max will be ready Friday popped a few ribs out of place....got them re-set but kept him out as a precaution.

Kids are tough.....a popped rib now (or when i was young) would nearly kill me.

I wouldn't call our offense "pathetic", as there are many many teams who would be envious of what we have. Witness: Pitman. HOWEVER, in the psyche department, maybe it is good to say we are "pathetic". Yeah....Ashland will probably kill us because our offense sucks. ;-)

lol BRF yes tons of teams wish they had the talent we do, we are just used to better execution for the whole game, not 2 quarters. I was merely trying to state that the offense has been not up to par like it should be and we can be very dangerous when we do play like we are capable.
