Not sure why Bruce isn't hitting lead off.

Janish burned by the speed of the Nady 2-out grounder up the middle and didn't get to it, just like Bruce was burned in RCF the other night.

Reds very efficient on offense in the first two inning after the good fortune of a no out double in the first that they scored from there with no hits, and then a one out double in the 2nd which took a hit to get in, which they got. Two runs, 3 hits and just one left on.

Compare that to the Cubs with 6 hits and just one run scored over the first two innings. A lot of the credit goes to being able to get a force out at 2nd in both innings on the first batter after the first runner reached!

Efficient with two singles, with Stubbs going 1st to 3rd, getting in position to come in on a SF. Cubs still have more hits but trail 3-1.

Some TV watcher should treat those fisherman like the PGA and LPGA and call the DNR on them for having 6 lines for 2 fisherman!

Reds slipping! Two hits and no runs in the 4th. The things that caused that: lead-off hitter made an out, the one out single was by a slow runner, and the one out smash by Janish to 3B flagged down for an out.

Brennamen is acting like Wood banged his wife. He's given up some runs but they haven't been hitting him hard. Some tough luck today.

I agree, I think this may be a mistake taking him out and putting in LeCure!

I think Byrd hurt himself running out his double the last time up, and then aggravated it swinging in this AB.

Travis Wood last 2 starts: 9 innings, 17 H, 10 ER, 5 BB, 7 K, 177 pitches.... Needed to take him out

I agree I just thought Brennamen was killing him a little unfairly. Some bleeders found holes.

Will Dusty take LeCure out anyway if he doesn't get reached in the batting order in the 6th?
