Fighting Gravity are the next ones gone. Down to Grimm and Evancho, I think I know where this one is going ...

Wow. Did not think that would happen. I like his voice a lot, congrats to Michael Grimm.

I'm Glad Michael Grimm beat the her. I liked fighting gravity but I knew Grimm won a lot of votes last night when my girlfriend and mom both said they think he would win idol.

I was very happy Michael Grimm won over Jackie Evancho. I think his performance last night did it for him.

Wow, I actually called the order perfect, finished just the way I thought it would. I'm pretty happy with the way it went down.

Grimm was certainly deserving, but agree he should have been on AI. Wonder how much being the most destitute of the bunch helped him. I hope he does well - I really enjoyed his performances and he's kind of a throwback singer in a genre that hasn't had any fresh blood in what seems like forever.

In what must have been the most underhyped development ever, I caught a blip on ONE show that they were having an AGT tour this year. Not sure the winner gets a Vegas gig anymore, either. So maybe that angle shouldn't apply. Wonder how that will work. Imagine it might operate like the AGT shows, but I wouldn't want to pay to see 10 acts for a couple of minutes with a bunch of dead time in between for a 2 hour show.

Fighting Gravity I saw has already been asked to do a NYE event at Hard Rock in Vegas.

I think all 4, along with several other acts, have good careers ahead of them.

Glad Grimm ended up winning...no matter how much my wife and I liked Fighting Gravity. Although my wife said she isn't watching next season because she doesn't want to watch American Idol...LoL She thinks it should be more of just variety acts because that is how they promote the show. If we wanted to watch Idol (which we don't), then we would watch that...

Oh well.

I'm not sure Grimm would have a shot on Idol though, the way they structure that show is totally different (have to sing different styles, no instruments to start, etc). I think Grimm is great in his comfort zone (Blues) but I can't see him going out there and doing a Michael Jackson medley.

Grimm is 30, I think, and they cut off the age limit for AI at 27.
