Maybe if one of his pop-ups get caught in a jetstream.

Chris Valaika and Sam Lecure were called up from Louisville. It would be Valaika's major league debut.

I called the LeCure move last night, but never thought Valaika would be up. Maybe OCab will be out til Sept 1. Who is going on the DL/ getting sent down other than Edmonds?

FSN really needs to get their shit together. Audio/video sync is still screwed up.

Lopez pops out w/ the bases loaded in the 9th and the Pirates beat the Cardinals 4-3

Pirates get 2 in the 6th and 2 in the 7th to take a 4-2 lead on Wainwright, then Meek holds on in a thrilling 9th and the Pirates win 4-3. Now the Reds are guaranteed to be in first place starting the home stand Friday.

Not what I was expecting from that game when I saw the Cards go up 2-0 in the 1st.

The Reds have done their share to make their good breaks this year....but things are going well when the Pirates snag a win from Wainright and then get through the midst of tth Cards order in the 9th

So my comment from last night still has a chance to be true! That the best chance for the Reds to have the lead anytime during this series may have been the one they had in the first last night and failed to take advantage of. Behind 3-0 to start the 2nd could likely mean no lead tonight.

I think they got Valaika up because Janish needs a day off. He's getting a little shaky on defense and slow with the bat. If the game continues like it is and they lose tonight, he'll have a sub line-up in tomorrow and probably continue the trend so that it will be that the last 3 series they've lost were by sweeps. But sweeps are like losing three series, or losing four series in the case of 4 game sweeps.

I doubt you see Chris make his big league debut at SS.

I'm thinking he gets into tonights game and then starts tomorrow. If you assume Janish doesn't start, then who starts at SS Cairo or Valaika?

Wood getting way too much of the plate tonight, and not winning the inner half. 7 runs through 4........Ouch.

Reds are gonna limp home after tomorrow. They deserve a good homestand turnout after this road trip.
