I say more power to him and I hope it works out - if you pay your debts you should be given another shot. That said, I can't see how he has anything to offer any more, and I lol'd at the fact the former GM of the Broncos is now the guy who wants him in Omaha.

Despite his past, it's good to see he is at least trying to make a change. I wish him luck!

UFL or CFL might be where he ends up. If not, try the arena.

I'm sorry but I lol'd at that line.

Hope he makes something of himself, but paying your debts aside, he failed at the NFL before he got himself in real trouble. So sure, I hope someone somewhere gives him "A" job, but there's no real reason for me to believe an NFL team should take him in.

I would like to see him succeed. It would be so much better for him, as well as all the other folks who may come in contact with him throughout the rest of his life. It would also be cheaper.

I wish him the best.

He's the only reason OSU was even in the NC game in 2002. And a main reason they won that game.

As for the Vick thread, IMO it's apples and oranges. I think Vick did more than his share of the time. I'm glad he's getting a second chance, and (as someone who has hated him since VT) am basking in his collossal failure of a comeback.

Mo C's crime doesn't even compare to what Vick did.

I get what you're saying, but the OSU defense was just as big a part of it all as Clarett was.

He's not trying out for an NFL team, he's trying out for an expansion UFL team. The UFL is a pro league full of undrafted college kids and ex-pro players (Jeff Garcia, Ahman Green, Brooks Bollinger, Tatum Bell, Anthony Schlegel, Lorenzo Booker...I could keep going).

Thanks, I was just making a general statement though it didn't come out that way. I watched a few UFL games last year. If he's good enough, great for him. Just saying I doubt he'll ever be back in the NFL and it doesn't have much to do with his criminal history.

The other difference in the Vick case was that Vick was still on probation and was making headlines for possibly violating his probation. If that had proven to be the case, he would've just spent his "second chance". As it turns out, they cleared him, but I'd guess people will still feel that if he messes up again he should be done.

Eh....you never know. He certainly has the natural talent to be in the NFL. His first go around, he was injured pretty much the entire training camp. IF his head is indeed on straight he could eventually make it back. He's still relatively young and doesn't have much wear and tear on his legs. It's not like that kind of talent is found everyday on the street.

Maybe. I suppose the injury could have made him get fat and lazy, too.

Did you forget that OSU had the #1 scoring defense in the nation that year? Don't get me wrong, MoC was a huge part of that season, but the defense is the reason they won the NC, look at the players that were on that Miami offense and they got completely shut down. I mean Andre Johnson (best WR in NFL right now), Winslow (even with injuries still a top TE), McGahee (good NFL RB), Frank Gore was a backup RB, their OL had 2 or 3 NFL players on it (Winston and some others, can't remember).

MoC had one big play in that game (the FF and FR), other than that he really got shut down by Miami. He ran 23 times for 47 yards...not exactly game breaking.

I agree with that, he won't play in the NFL.
