Wow that's kinda shocking, but there is about 10 min left to go, maybe they'll throw a swerve.

I'm not sure where this is going. It is a lose-lose situation. If Shemaus wins, it degrades the title by saying it doesn't take much work to get the title (shemaus definitely has not paid the dues other number 1 contenders have). If Cena wins, the push they were giving Shemaus loses credibility.

The way I would have done it is, have Cena carry the belt up to Wrestlemania (giving the belt a little more credibility), and lose it to someone who has been paying dues, and will be over with the crowd i.e. John Morrison , or a heel like the Miz. Although a HBK-John Morrison would have been a great match at Wrestlemania, kind of a passing of the torch.

I have less than zero interest in Shemaus.

Quite frankly none of the young talent they are trying to push is really doing anything for me right now, as I find them boring.

I keep watching out of habit and probably always will, but this is a dark period in WWE history as they are terribly thin in terms of legit main eventers and sure fire stars.

Jessie Ventura went "Heel" at the and called out WWE saying he was the poster boy for WWE and that is why he is always the in the WWE title hunt and Sheamus took out Cena and slammed him through the table and Jessie made it a "Table Match" at the TLC PPV

I like Sheamus but obviously he won't beat Cena. This whole "paying dues" thing is of no consequence anymore or CM Punk would not be a multiple time World Champ already. They had to get someone new into the title hunt and Sheamus will be fine. It doesn't destroy him at all if he loses to Cena because that is what should happen since Cena is the dominant champion. The match itself is to make Sheamus look good which is something Cena does very well. I think it would have gone over better if the crowd wasn't as dead as it was all night. Raw was actually really good tonight in terms of matches. Punk and Cena was good, DX/Hart Dynasty was good, so was Kofi/Dolph. It was nice to showcase some young talent throughout the show since they need to continue to build up these young guys. Didn't quite understand why Miz and Morrison didn't wrestle somebody tonight but oh well I guess.

I hope they have a nice last man standing match between Kofi and Orton and Kofi beats him. Kofi is one of my favorite wrestlers and I think that he might be the next big thing. Its funny when he first came out I was loving his matches and I said hes going to be hugh and my buddies thought I was crazy. Now hes already held the IC and US titles hes on his way if he doesn't get held down like MVP and Shelton.

I just don't get what they're trying to do sometimes. The fans' reaction to Sheamus' win was, "really?" And they didn't do anything to help that because the announcers had the same attitude and the champion had the same attitude. By the time they were done completely discrediting the dude as a legitimate contender, nobody cared about the fact that he completely destroyed Cena. Horrible.

A loss for Shaemus *could* have still helped him, but they made it seem so much like he doesn't belong there in the first place that when he loses it is just going to be another ho-hum push that was killed before it went anywhere.

I think the WWE is testing the water, considering turning Cena heel. They wanted to see if Ventura could bring any heat but I think it backfired considering their choice of the non-verbal Albino. Had Kofi won the match & used Ventura's same mic work post-match we'd be having a different discussion this morning...

I am not going to base anything off the crowd from last night because it was dead the whole time. Cena came out and and they showed the crowd and some people stood up but no one made any noise. Sheamus got some good heat in MSG last week and at the PPV Sunday and that is really a better indicator than that awful crowd in Hershey last night.

I thought Raw was actually one of the best ones they've had in quite some time last night.

I agree with your post. This was evident with the fact Cena initially sat down, refused to stand and just laughed at Sheamus. With the right person, it could have turned into Cena being arrogant and not respecting an up and coming star. Sheamus was just a bad choice for that angle. I think that is why Ventura went into his rant about Cena being a "company guy" and who they want representing them as champion.

Maybe Sheamus is the first in a long list of young stars Cena could disrespect. Eventually the fans will tire of the attitude and turn on him.

The bit with Santino was pretty funny. I always loved Ventura, except him and Vince calling that match was, well, awkward to say the least.
