Cardinals do not play tonight. They start a three game set with the Giants tomorrow night in San Fran.

Reds have won 5 straight West coast games and are 5-3 on the year.

That Cards series is actually in STL. That benefits the Reds since the Giants will be flying Sunday evening before the start of Reds/Giants Monday.

Really? When I checked yahoo the matchup had StL on the left and SF on the right.

im shocked that Gomes is in the lineup, but Heisey is horrible against lefties, sooooo

maybe he will hit a homer, then pop up the other 3 times!?

Gomes batting 5th is just ignorant stubborness. Just like Dusty's old ways of batting the CF 1st no matter who it was....batting the SS 2nd regardless, batting Phillips 4th no matter what...batting Dunn 6th....could go on

I'm interested to see how they do against Joe Saunders. I always thought he was a little more hyped than he should have been. I was never impressed with his stuff and he is somewhat of a soft tosser.

True. I didn't say the Reds were going to destroy him. Just said Saunders is a soft tosser who gets a lot of hype because of where he was drafted. I don't think he will ever be anything more than a #3 starter.
