This is it. This is the moment we have all been waiting for. High School Football, in OHIO!!
This is what two-a-days, and the winter training, and the grueling work outs have all been in preparation for. It all comes down to this.
Ten weeks of hard hits, play making catches, goal line stances.
Ten weeks to prove you are the best, and then play the best the state has to offer. If you survive the first ten weeks, then the next five are the true test of your abilities!!
Can you survive this daunting task? Are you up to the challenge? Do you have what it takes?

ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!!!!

Massillon will start a sophomore, who will, believe it or not, celebrate his 16th birthday, on, yep, you guessed it, August 26th, the day of Massillon's first game. This kid is gonna be a real good one, and will benefit from having some real talent to distribute the ball to. From throwing the ball to Olack, Smith, Allman, Roberson, to handing the ball to Nalbach, Reiman, Winters, Robey, Mattox and Taylor.

Just returned home from Massillon's final tuneup, a game condition scrimmage with Strongsville. The two teams played one half of football, with Massillon putting 3 td's on the board, to Strongsvilles none, as a matter of fact, I don't think Strongsville crossed midfield.

Massillon's defense looked extremely fast and hit hard and ALL ran to the football, they dropped at least two sure interceptions, and consistantly had Strongsville in 3rd and 10, 3rd and 8, and one time, 3rd and 19.

Brody Tonn played very well throwing 2 td passes with one pick. Massillon's backs ran hard and are very fast, Jake Reiman was pummeled at about the 3 yd line, but drug the Strongsville LB into the endzone.

After about a 8-10 min halftime, the two teams returned to the field for a ot situation with Massillon scoring a td on the first series, strongsvilles possession resulted in no score.

Up next, Akron Buchtel, let's go Tigers, put it to the Griffins.

You have to give Buchtel credit-- they are not afraid to schedule the big boys. They open with Massillon and then play Pittsburgh Central Catholic. They were originally scheduled in week 2 to play my boys from Big Red, but we deferred that contract so we could play in a rally in Pittsburgh and we are bringing Buchtel with us. I think Buchtel is also going to play Warren Harding and Ursuline.
